Prospect releases and trades
Playing solo leagues with 6.10, I'm seeing the AI teams release 2.5 to 3.5-star prospects just a couple of months after drafting them. Surely their farm systems couldn't be so clogged with quality to justify this?!?
Also, I'd like to know if the AI accounts for the fact that a player offered in a trade is about to become a free agent. E.g., applies a negative modifier of 10 or 15% to its valuation of that player to address the distinct possibility he will only be in their lineup a few months. It seems that it doesn't, which is probably the biggest single contributing factor to my teams becoming dynasties. I know the setup includes increasing trading difficulty and AI favoring prospects or veterans, but these seem rather blunt instruments. Otherwise, cool game and good news about the quick 6.11 patch. |

I used to see this all the time. Then I switched the player evaluation percentages to 85% ratings, 5% for each year (so the computer evaluates players almost exclusively based on their ratings), which is roughly what SkyDog suggested in his thread on player development modifiers.
Now I almost never see useful players/prospects on waivers, which is a case of be careful what you wish for because it may come true. But it is more realistic. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=76007 |
