I hope I'm wrong...

Yanks over Twins (5)
Sox over Angels (4)
Astros over Braves (4)
Cardinals over Dodgers (4)

Sox over Yanks (7) - Not sure if I can live through another one of these
Cardinals over Astros (5)

Cardinals over Sox (7)

And that's if we make it past the Angels. I'm worried about our starting rotation other than Schilling. I'm also worried about how Francona will handle the bullpen as there have been shaky decisions made especially recently (Mike Myers should not face anyone hitting from the right side of the plate).

We're not talking about the USBA or the Maelstrom or the OTB leagues here. Where talking about the MLB.

ugh .. now that's not bias

Any case, here are my honest opinions:

AL Wildcard:

Yanks over Twins in 4
Angels over Red Sox in 6

ALCS:

Angels over Yanks in 6 <-- I hope I'm wrong, but I dont see the injury depleted Yankees getting past the Angels if they play their best.

NL Wild Card:
Houston over Atlanta in 4
St Louis over Dodgers in 4

NLCS

St Louis over Houston in 5

World Series

St Louis over Angels in 6

wow, nobody giving the twins a shot against the yankees. except for the homers. but then, nobody gave us a shot in '87 or '91 either. i think the twins team now is better than it has been the last two years...and it's playing a yankees team much worse than last year's.

Yankees over Twins in 3. Twins don't get close in one game.
Red Sox over Angels in 4. Angels win the first game and the Red Sox come back to win the next three.

St. Louis over LA in 3, LA Doesn't even score a run till the third game.
Atlanta over Houston in 5. Houston wins the first two, people start annoiting them this years Florida Marlins. Lance Berkman is quoted as saying "It is good to get out of the first round." And then Atlanta Beats them 3 straight times.

Red Sox over Yankees in 5, Series isn't close. After the series is tied 1-1, the Red Sox take over and kill the Yankess.
Atlant over St. Louis in 6 in what should be an easy win for the Cardinals, they lose when Pujos, Walker, Rolen and Edmonds just stop hitting.

Red Sox over Braves in 6. Not even the Red Sox can cure the new Cursed team, the Braves.

My selection process - choose the team I like less to advance. Given that, the World Series was extremely difficult to predict.

I wanted to pick the Braves, I really did. But I think as they get deeper and deeper, their pitching is going to get so depleted, and the Sox batters are just gonna hammer them.
