Can CatoBase be used with Lahman imported leagues?
I have never used CatoBase before and downloaded the 6.1.4 version this morning.
I have a new league I created from the Lahman database. Finished the season fine and exported the html files as requested. When I run the CatoBase utility it stops on "importing players.csv" with an error that states there is an invalid character on line 448. I opened the file and can see nothing unusual with line 448 vs. any of the other lines in the file. I am using the files and exporters downloaded from the CatoBase website today and have correctly identified the html files as OOTP v6 in the utility. It's not a path issue, it seems to find the files ok - just can't complete the processes. Could this be a Lahman import issue? Should this utility only be used with non-imported leagues? Any ideas? Thanks. |

There should be no problem with catobase and the database. I use a fictional database for my league and I am 20 seasons in and there have been no problems with the importing and running catobase.

This is an extremely common error and VERY easy to fix. Use the SEARCH function and you will find the answers you seek!
