Northern Midwest League has openings

The NML is about to start the 1933 season and has 6 teams open. The league is a fiction league that started play in 1921, the league is very competitive with the last five champs being first time champs. Check out the league web site at http://www.nmleague.com/baseballmain.htm

The first round of the amateur draft and the FA period started today, its a good time to get started. The teams open are:

Des Moines
Duluth
Fargo-Moorhead
Green Bay
Marquette
Milwuakee

Des Moines, Fargo and Green Bay are all perenial contenders.

Great league, I just plain have run out of time. Glen does a great job running this league, I certainly hope a capable owner takes over my FM Frost Giant team along with all of the other teams very soon. You won't regret it!

This is a good league. 24 teams spread out in 6 divisions with 2 WC winners. Competition is pretty fierce and bloody at times. I have literally spent 3 hours working on trades with fellow owners, only to walk away this close from doing a deal.

It is quite challenging and exasperating at times.

We are looking for some quality ownership to replace some original owners (had been with league 11 years) and a few problem teams. (For some reason, GB constantly wins, yet cant keep a GM.)

The league right now requires only a minimal commitment. Just make sure you get your lineups in, respond to trade offers, and let us know you are alive occasionally. If you would like, you can join the banter and trash talking via email which almost always is started by Rochester or Rockford.

Looking forward to beating you soon.

Green Bay and Duluth have been taken, but Milwuakee opened back up. So three teams still available, Des Moines, Fargo-Moorhead and Miwuakee. The Draft and FA days will be complete tomorrow, Thursday, Friday will be ST, and the season opener on Sunday.
