Vince to Knicks?
Latest Knicks rumor is that the Knicks will either do a sign-and-trade for Kobe or Vince. Its probably complete bs, but still somewhat entertaining watching Isiah make himself look like an idiot.

Better NY than Indianapolis. That man couldn't coach if he had a team given to him.. oh wait.. he did. Glad NY has him as GM. Couldn't happen to a bitter, er better team.

Thomas is way over his head on this one.
But, I still like the direction he's taken. A lot of bashing on the contracts he's taken in, but the truth is (and the media seems to ignore this) the Knicks won't be under the cap till 2007 anyway (Thomas, Penny, Marbury trades or no trades). |

Definetly not going to happen.
If this happens I might give everyone in NYC a penny.

in order for the knicks to get vince, they haveto giveup marbury. no way thats gonna happen. sure vince is a great player but marbury is the local guy that thomas sold his soul for and vince misses way to many games.
the rumor i think is funnier is kurt thomas for jamal crawford in a sign and trade. sounds like something the knicks would do, deal their only decent big for another tweener guard. |

How about a source?
The Knicks have a better shot at landing Kobe then they do Mr. Air Carter.. I read somewhere (I believe ESPN) that if Kobe signs with the Knicks, Nike would double his contract that he has with them now. The money he is losing by signing with the Knicks and not the Lakers - Nike just made it back for him! What a better place to become "The Next Jordan" then the biggest state in the world - Madison Square Garden. Wow, what a pitch!

The Knicks would still have to give up something for Kobe (hopefully Houston?) and whatever it is the Knicks give up probably wouldn't be enough for the Lakers.
When you consider that Marbury is untouchable, who else is left on that roster that makes up for the loss of Kobe Bryant. I'd love to see him in New York, but I just don't see it happening. |

I first heard this as hearsay around a few radio stations w/ slow news days, this is a source from espn.com. I seriously doubt this will happen, and the Knicks are going to have to give up way too much to get this injury-riddled has-been. On 660 WFAN, Karlin was saying the Knicks would have to give up Kurt Thomas for that to happen, and dealing the one Knick that plays with grit and heart seems like a bad, bad move by Isiah.

I've heard numerous things regarding Vince and the Knicks. The only problem is the things I hear is that they won't be together. I've heard Vince in Dallas in a three way deal with the Knicks getting Antoine Waler and the Raptors getting Shannon Anderson, Mutumbo, and one other Knick.
I also heard on foxsports today that Vince is definitley interested in staying in the East, and going to the Knicks. The article also said Isiah said he could give up any Knick to get Vince except for Steph. Believe what you want, but who the hell knows where he will end up.
