Thornton to Switzerland

That's really something else. The captain and possibly one of the best players, on the best teams in the Eastern Conference leaves because of a possible lockout. It's not like this man is making minimum wage. I think he could afford to sit out maybe a year and still remain a Boston Bruin. But to abandon your team for a possible lockout? Doesn't seem like a sensible move to me.

Proves all he wants to do is play hockey, in my opinion. Screw the NHL, if they're gonna fight over money, "I'm gonna play to play".

(I didn't read the article, so if there's something else - ignore this)

If there is NHL hockey, he'll play for the Bruins. If there's no NHL hockey, he'll play in Switzerland. There's been speculation about this for months now.

Doesn't it seem like this guy is implying something wrong with Thornton's choice?

He thinks that Thornton is going no matter what, that's why he's outraged. I saw this story on the ESPN ticker and it says "Thornton signs deal with Switzerland", so immediately I thought he left the NHL. I had to hunt down the story on ESPN to find out the truth.

Let's talk about Kevin Hatcher & Roller Hockey....

F the B's they're the the prime example of what is wrong with hockey.

Mind you most of their top FAs are gone, 1 will play in Sweden and the other is unsigned (Murray). They don't don't care and why should I??????????? Go Wild w/ Brian Rolston.
