Proposal to Mods regarding aliases

Ok, the aliases here were out of control before, but now this **** is going too far.

Can someone do a cross-check of IPs and Users, ban the aliases, and hand out warnings? Talk Sports has pretty much been relegated to a wasteland of aliases and thats just ****ed up. OT isn't much better.

I'd even be willing to spend a day myself to do this, if so appointed.

I'm not sure what kind of tools Steve or Andreas have, but I don't have anything that would make the job easy. You might want to drop ANdreas a note to see if he has any ideas. You would think you could have the board software just look for IP duplicates.

It does, in a way.

You can take an IP address and do a search of it within the software, and it'll give you other IDs that match that IP. It's not as easy as telling the software to find every matching IP and name that goes with it, but it's something.

Well, I banned 6 aliases tonight. We'll see if that slows things down a bit.
