catobase issue: mid season splits

Some issues I've noticed with Catobase:

1. I've simmed 13 seasons, but have only started using catobase at the end of this season (2015). catobase does a good job of importing stats from previous season, but for some reason, only imports from 2004-2015....curiously omiting 2003.

2. In another issue that seems to point to things being '1 year off', a player...here's the following (correct) history for my departed catcher:

-Released by Trenton on 10/1/2015
-Signed as a free agent by San Diego on 10/6/2015 to a minor league contract

But even though he spent 99% of the year with Trenton, all of his stats for 2015 are showing up under San Diego. He doesn't show up at all in the Trenton batting register, which was disappointing for me.

Similarly, here's the following history for a pitcher involved in an offseason trade 2 years ago:
-Traded from Trenton to Minneapolis on 1/31/2014 (Going to MIN: P M. Ball, CF J. Daly, P N. Mraz. Going to TRE: 1B P. Creasey)
But even though he was traded to MIN in January, all of his stats for 2014 seem to be attributed to TRE.

I'm using catobase 6.0.0. I am using ootp6.02. The career I am using was started originally in ootp5, but was updated to ootp6 at the end of the 2014 season.

Am I doing sdomthing wrong, or is this an issue with catobase?

As far as player stats going to the wrong team in a year when they were involved in a transaction, this is tough for the program to do. But Cato has improved it over time - in my experience the latest version is clearly better than it was before. It may never be perfect, but I keep my fingers crossed since it does seem to keep improving.

But in my last example, the trade happened in January.

Don't get me wrong...I still think the catobase is the best ootp utility ever.

This is a known bug with the career exporter. It doesn't export the first year. I think CommishJoe is aware of this.

When did the playoffs start? This probably has to do with the player being signed after the playoffs started. I'll look into this.

This should not be happening. It is suppose to ignore any transactions before the start of the season since, obviously, there is no need to split stats when there aren't any.

Can you send me the data files where these are happening. You can attach it to a support ticket at www.equalnicity.com.

Thanks

This may not be very helpful, but I just figured since I haven't noticed this being mentioned that I'd toss it in this thread figuring Cato will see it at some point.

In my V6 season I just CatoBased I noticed several players on my team did not show up there at all, but rather were split between two other teams. I finally figured out that these were players I put on the trading block, and mention of that showed up on the ltrans.html file immediately (next lines) after a trade between the teams where my players were showing up. CatoBase was including those players of mine in the trade. I removed the trading block mention from the ltrans.html file and that fixed the issue.
