NO trade offers at all, email flags

Even with trade set to HIGH, no one is offering trades to me.

In addition, is there a way to show WHAT is in an email?

I don't NEED to stop the sim to find out someone is telling me they're retiring. I DEFINITELY don't need to stop the sim to find out how people reacted to a promotional day.

I DO want to know about people being put on waivers, and I definitely want the computer to offer me a trade once in a blue moon.

I have had trade offers without being notified by email --- interrupting the game.

There is not, unfortunately, a filter on the e-mail to pick and choose what type of e-mail you get. If you want any e-mail you will get the main types:

1. trade offers
2. players ready to move up or down in minors
3. waiver information (if turned on)
4. injury news
5. the misc e-mails for retirement and contract extentions.

I guess you didn't hear. Markus put in new code in this game. AI GM's refuse to trade when they determine that the human player is behaving like a world-class jerk on the message boards.

(cough) And how can I tell if the email isn't someone telling me someone's ready to come off the DL, for example?

This has bothered me a little since I started playing....finer control of which email types stop the sim would definitely be on my list of 'nice to haves' since I like to sim a week or two at a time and you can miss trades that way. I usually got around it by just simming for a week and checking the email if I remembered to, but the waiver thing changes it all since it works on a 3 day timetable.....

Just calm down a little bit, drop the attitude from your posts, and everyone here will be more than happy to help you, or even reasonably debate whether or not an issue you have is one that most people agree with. I really do think you're going overboard with your last couple of threads, and I wish you'd tone it down a little.

My only problem with emails are I am getting waiver claims and trade cancelations for teams I have not traded with and people I do not have or never had on my waiver. I get 12 emails with all that kind of stuff. Its driving me nuts.
