After trawling the net for a little while, I have come up with a full set of 30 stadium photographs, all taken from high behind the plate, which should fit nicely into the game. Of course the vantage point for each photo is slightly different, so I'll tune the player positions for each a little so they look just right. I think they are all public domain, but before I share them with the community I'll e-mail the owners and check they're OK for distribution in this manner. Hope some of you will find this useful...

Awesome - good addition. There are also very solid art versions of present and past stadiums at www.bigcitybaseball.com.

This has probably been answered but I did a search on the messages and couldn't find the answer.
I've downloaded the stadium pictures from the site but where should I unzip them to? Thanks |

On a somewhat connected topic...does anyone have a Logo for the early 1900's Washington Senators?

Please do not take this the wrong way (those that worked hard to get the stadium pics), but are there any sets of stadium pictures that are more realistic? I understand that it may not be easy to get. Has anybody tried to locate any?

blmeanie,
There are two basic sets available. The first has been captured from the HighHeat baseball game by Frohike, and the second has been captured from the Tony Larussa baseball game series (including Old Time Baseball) by me. In addition, a few of us have created some fictional ballparks. The lack of actual photos is due to the fact that finding pictures at the same, and correct angle is impossible. Finding photos at ALMOST the same angle is at least difficult. This is important becasue if you have all the pics - but the angles are different, each ballpark has to have different player position figures. Mr. Noseybonk, above, is apparently attempting to collect a set of actual photographs - and if he does, I'm sure will be hosted at BigCityBaseball as well as others ![]() [ March 02, 2002: Message edited by: Henry ]
|

Do the ballpark pictures from High Heat work with OOTP4?

Although they are larger than they need to be (file size) there are some on the board that say they work fine.

Yep I already have a set of photos, patience required when fixing the player positions - drag and drop would indeed be nice here!

Thanks for all of the stadium info. I downloaded and put them into the graphics folder. What do I do to get them to replace the default pics? Thanks.

this is somewhat related to the topic at hand...
i just finished downloading the old-time stadium graphics from bigcitybaseball.com, but when i pointed the stadium editor to the proper stadium graphic files i noticed that the players' positions are all out of whack. do i have to edit the coordinates for the player positioning manually, or does anyone have the park config files i'd need? What myself and a friend did last night was use the Stadium Zoom in's from Triple Play '98 as photos.

whatever you guys decide to do as far as stadiums are concerned, I'll host them along with Big City.
