Tommy Morrison and Michael Grant
Am I the only one who thinks Tommy's rating should be higher than a 4? I tweaked his ratings and came up with a 6. the rating that made the most difference was his HP which I raised to a 12. he might not of done anything else worth a turd, but the boy could hit extremely hard.
Michael Grant, I took him back to his prime and came up with a 7 overall. Grant was a good fighter and created alot of havoc in the HW division, beating everyone who came his way. then, his confidence was completely lost after Lennox Lewis used one hand to hold Grant's head down and used the other hand to uppercut him and KO him. was I the only one on the planet who saw this? the ref obvioulsy didn't, or Lewis might have been DQ'd. at any rate, I think a rating of a low 7 is fair for a prime Grant.

Morrison was knocked out by michael Bendt in his prime. NOOOO way Morrison is higher than a 4. If ratings were projected by potential....he would be a 6...maybe a 7! His quality win of his carrer was a points win ovr a 49 year old Foreman...who was hit or miss at that point in his carrer!!
I have no opinion on the grant rating. He would be a 2 or a 3 if you put him in there with heavys from the 50's -80's. One thing that is the common thread amongst these 2 heavyweights is that they both have chins made of glass! |

I think we're all happy Grant was exposed early rather than in a big showcase fight-thers lots of heavyweights with a great physique---didn't Lou Sarvarese just blow him out recently-least he keeps trying I guess----and yeah, people forget Morrison was a solid contender before getting his head taken off by Mercer, then the whole AIDS thing happened any he disappeared

Lets not forget that Tommy Morrison does hold wins over Carl Williams, Razor Ruddock, and Big George.......Joe Mesi can't boast the same and he is rated a 7. Morrison should be around a 5 or 6 based on his handspeed and punching power.
Also, Morrison would have blown out Grant. MJ

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! Thanks IceTea. He should be at LEAST a 5, I rated him as a very low 6.

I'd keep them where they are. Mesi is rated a 7 compared to other active heavies. He won't be a 7 at the end of his career probably a 4 or so if what I see of him pans out.
