Just to reiterate my earlier suggestion, would you consider adding https://opencode.ai/ to the list of supported AI providers? I think it could be a useful addition.

Excellent program! I'm enjoying using it and seeing a different side of the game.
But I do have one question. How do the percentile valuations (Value and Talent) get calculated? I have both Lucas Giolito and Dane Dunning as long relievers after picking them up on minor league contracts and both are doing very poorly (6.51 and 9.45 ERA, respectively). But Giolito is listed as 93 Value and 88 Talent and Dunning is 95 Value and 92 Talent, and I'm getting the suggestion: "Lucas Giolito Extension: Giolito is performing at a 93rd-percentile MLB value on a league-minimum $780,000 contract. He is an unrestricted free agent after this season. We must initiate extension talks immediately to avoid a bidding war we can't control in the winter." And there is nothing in their scouting reports or their Stuff/Movement/Control ratings that would suggest anything more than mediocrity. Last edited by eauhomme; 08-13-2026 at 09:07 PM. |

Another minor issue:
It combines minor league stats across multiple leagues in determining readiness for promotion and in storyline articles. "Lazaro Montes (AAA) Promotion: Montes is a statistical outlier at Tacoma, posting a 1.120 OPS and 21 HR in just 181 PAs. He is 4.6 years younger than his AAA peers. He is currently sidelined for 3 more days with a minor injury; upon activation, he should be considered for a Major League call-up to spark the offense." Actually, all 21 were hit at AA and he's hitting a flat .200 in AAA. And his scouting reports suggest that he is nowhere ready for the majors. Last edited by eauhomme; 08-13-2026 at 09:31 PM. |

Hi was playing around with the FO app with my fictional league. I have high-school and college feeder leagues that feed into a draft. Not all high school and college players are draft eligible this season.
I notice none of those listed in my draft pool screen show in the OOTP Front Office app draft page, and those that are listed in the OOTP FO app whilst they exist in my universe, they are not a part of THIS season's draft pool. The draft pool was released 'today' so I was sure to export after it's release and update OOTP FO with that info. Any help would be appreciated. |

Just a query, does the app consider statistical era equivalencies, when providing both lineup, promotion or contract recommendations? For example, in my fictional league it's 1908 and power has not really emerged yet, nor are typical closer type relievers both prominent or used much in my era. Whereas in my alternate historical save it's 1978 and baseball and therefore, player capabilities and statistical outputs for bat and pitching and roles/usage, look significantly different to my above fictional league.
It would be great if the App were cognisant of what different era's look like and adjust statistical expectations accordingly. Last edited by Yankee Hotel Foxtrot; 08-14-2026 at 08:35 AM. |

Two real bugs, both mine. First, I was only checking the "draft eligible" flag, and OOTP leaves that on after a guy's already been picked. In my own save 185 of the players it was offering me were already drafted. Second, and this is probably yours: the export says which league's draft a player belongs to and I wasn't reading it at all. You've got multiple drafts going because of the HS and college leagues, so it was just scooping up everything with the flag set. Both fixed in the next build.
I just play a regular league without anything changed on it so I do not have a way of fully testing multi-league drafting and stuff. Just keep sending me what you are seeing on your end. Release pushed |

Hi I am now see the following in my draft board view, no draft pool players but a reference to '123 players in another league's draft'?
Am I doing something wrong? I've reimported a csv but no change. Thanks for any help. |

The line means it found 123 players flagged draft eligible and all of them are tagged to a different league's draft than yours. Same 123 strangers as before, so at least we know they don't belong on your board.
Where I got it wrong: I assumed your 296 were being knocked out by that same tag. They're not, or they'd be in that count. They're not reaching the query at all, which means they don't carry the eligible flag OOTP sets in a normal league. Your setup marks the class some other way and I don't know which field yet. Quick thing you can do now: search one of your pool guys by name in the app, McGoogan or Archuleta. If he comes up, the app has him and I'm just looking at the wrong field. If he doesn't come up at all, something's dropping them on import and that's a different fix. Better still, if you're up for it, zip the players.csv from your export folder and send it over. It's just sim data. Then I can actually see which field marks your class instead of guessing a third time. |

Burning Through AI money
So, hard to find a free AI....but looks like I am burning through some cash quicker than I expected. Is there a rule, or measurement, or something to determine how FO uses up AI cash?

Yeah, there has to be a free model available, spending real world money on it is tongue in cheek fun but not sustainable long term. Plus from a design standpoint I'd want to use a free model so the users will spend money tipping the developer instead of charging AI credits.

Hi, I'm really enjoying what you're building. its exactly what the game needs going forward - I hope the devs are taking note! I searched for players, I've zipped players.csv file as requested. Thanks in advance for your help. Last edited by Yankee Hotel Foxtrot; 08-14-2026 at 06:10 PM. |

OOTP shows the injury status as Pending, but Front Office shows ~1000 days. Does it know something I don't know, or is that how it shows pending?

Ultimately the need to pay for an AI service to use these features will be its limiting factor. I am loving the whole app, but the use of the elements requiring a paid AI service are particularly engaging, just the cost will ultimately mean I only use these bits as occasional novelties. I'd love to be able to roll it into my existing paid subscription to Chat GPT or another service so I don't really need to monitor usage. I hope in future as more developers incorporate AI into their games, they can work with AI providers to perhaps work around these issues for users. I can foresee a time soon where these type of interactions are expected in games, so it should be in game developers and AI producers' interests to work out how to deliver this. |

Ha nope. That is the value that ootp spits out while its diagnosis pending or unknown. Once a timeframe is set in the game, it will export the correct number.

I only use Claude with API. Also, set the model for Claude to one of the lower models like Haiku. It’ll take you months to spend 20 bucks. You should be able to monitor cost on the AI providers site.

How do you change the model via Front Office?

Just coming up to a draft, and the thought occurred that it would be great if I could somehow focus the tools attention on specific shortlists I have of the draft. Does the csv file pull the name of shortlists at all for the FO app to be able to isolate and present them?

Go into the settings for the app at the top right and you will see it there.

Cheers, I just checked, I could not see them. However I wonder whether they might be referenced as a field 'shortlist' or something similar in another file in there in the player.csv maybe? |
