Too many double plays

It seems that there are way to many catcher to first double plays when the bases are loaded. I see at least one a game and sometimes, like the game I am playing right now, more than two. That is way too many.

My first thought is how many times per game do you get the bases loaded with less than two outs?

My MLB style game, 30 teams, 162 games per. I am in early August.
Games: 3184
Bases loaded plate appearances.
0 outs: 723
1 out: 1526
2 outs: 1902

Average: .706 per team per game. 1.412 per game for both teams.
As far as I can tell this is the best information I can find in the game with the filter options available.

I have no idea how these OOTP numbers compare to real life.

What I can say is with these numbers in my game, I haven't noticed anything unusual in the number of C to 1b double plays. I would also say, as I have been playing v27, there are more than there were in v26 and before. But I kind of thought, with nothing to back that up with other than "my impression", there should have been more in those versions.

Maybe you're right and something is off? Maybe it's just a series of unlikely dice rolls along with sample size? IDK. I'm just throwing out what I can find in my game that may add to the conversation.

I have noticed an increase this year. I think we do get more bases loaded situations than reality, as many times a runner is held at third when he should be trying to score, I play every game for one team all the time, so far that 162 games times 23 seasons, started with OOTP25. I just had a game with four catcher to first double plays, just seemed too many

I play out ever game too. I'm not saying you are wrong and if I had four in a game I'd be thinking "huh?" too.

Even though nothing has stuck out to me while playing my game it's still worth looking out for. I put a notebook next to my keyboard with the intention of keeping track of the number of bases loaded with less than 2 outs situations, and how many C to 1b DP's are turned. As I start tracking I have 56 games left in my season. Not a huge sample but if mine is as "off" as what you're seeing I would think I would see signs of the problem. I've only played one game this afternoon. So far, one chance, no DP. 55 games to go.

Infractions: 0/1 (1)
lololol pencil and paper for a statistical game that doesnt keep track.
I don't get enough double plays.
Guess they didn't push the double play bug to me

Then there's no problem. Good to know.

The real problem is that inning-ending double plays with bases loaded seem to almost always be outs at home and first, when in reality they're more likely to be outs at second and first.

Going to be gone for a couple of days so thought I'd post an update.

So far 8 games played. 9 times bases loaded with less than 2 outs (chances include both my team and computer teams) .
Zero C to 1st double plays.

2 of the 9 times there were conventional 6-4-3, or 4-6-3 DP's with the corners in.

One last update on what I've seen in my league.

20 games played
27 times bases loaded with less than two outs
1 Catcher to first double play
2 Conventional 6-4-3 or 4-6-3 with corners in

I don't know if 20 games is too small a sample, but I'm not seeing a reason to continue.

ewank, fwiw I play a modern MLB league with 30 teams. I play out all of my games where I control pitching, hitting, and subs. The AI controls baserunning only. I do autocalc the LTM's between seasons. The only settings I may have changed wouldn't affect in game play. IE trade frequency, financials, player evaluation, etc. All player creation and development is at default.
