Can You Turn Off the Weather?
I play out my game in the daylight. I like the sunny weather because you can see the background behind the stadium showing roads and buildings.
Not so when it is "Stormy and Cloudy". Is it possible just to have sunny days? Is there a way to turn off the weather for the stadiums? |

I've never tried it myself, Eugene, but perhaps if you go into each stadium and reduce the percentage of AVG chance of rain to '0' might achieve that?
I know under Options you can disable rainouts, but that won't eliminate those grey skies entirely.

There is an option to turn off rain delays and rain outs

OOTP allows you to turn off rainouts, but delays are still going to occur. From what I understand, Markus was a big Creedence fan and felt until someone had a definitive answer to the question who'll stop the rain, there would be no turning off rain altogether.

You could also toggle each stadium to make them domes, which should eliminate the rain delays.

And of course it's always sunny in Philly.

And "It Never Rains In Southern Califormia"
"It can't be wrong if you heard it in a love song"... Marshall Tucker Band said it.. EC was a DJ for 32 years. For all you buckaroos and you little darlin's, too... you can swing and sway to Albert Hammond's song from the good ole golden year of 1972.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KxMcDbD8ek Last edited by Eugene Church; 04-29-2025 at 09:47 PM. |

If only you could specify the street on which each ballpark was located in OOTP, then you change them all to 'Sesame Street'. That would sweep the clouds away.
But then you'd just end up with a bunch of clueless people asking how to get there, so maybe not.

Bottom LIne: Baseball was meant to play in bright sunshine.
As a kid there was nothing better than to go to a Sunday afternoon doubleheader at Hartwell Field in Mobile to watch my beloved Bears play the Atlanta Crackers, Nashville Vols, Memphis Chicks, Chattanooga Lookouts, Little Rock Travelers and New Orleans Pelicans. Admission was $1...hot freshly-grilled hot dogs and hot off-the-grill hamburgers with grilled onions, soda pop, candy, popcorn, Crackerjacks and peanuts were 50 cents or 25 cents, if that much. Later it was special to attend a Sunday afternoon twinbill at Pelican Stadium watching the New Orleans Pelicans. Last edited by Eugene Church; 04-30-2025 at 06:21 PM. |

I have to agree with this. I don't mind a Saturday night game, but as it is there are way too many night games in MLB these days.
