I know this isn't the best place to ask this question, but I figured I may get the fastest results here. Is it possible to run BOSI without having it on a web page? Basically, I want to be able to run it just on my computer with my solo league. Is it possible to do this?

Possible, but not easy. Do a Google search on PhP Triad. That will install Apache, PhP and MySQL on your computer which you would need to run BOSI on your computer. I do know of other people who are doing it.

I tried that just last weekend, in fact.

I couldn't get past the initial user setup. I never got the admin panel that's supposed to be on the left. I was only setting it up so I could do some expansion drafts in a solo league...

Is there any chance that that part of BOSI could be converted into a stand-alone thing? Or is it too tied in to the whole of BOSI?

BOSI is built using PhP and MySQL. In order for me to convert it to stand alone, I'd have to write it in a different language. And, since one of the reasons I am doing this in the first place is to get web development experience, it's probably not going to happen

I've almost got it running on my computer. Run into a little snag setting up the league on the league admin page. I have posted (My Post) in the BOSI support forum and I am hoping someone will be able to help. Anyways, my point was that if I can get it this far just about anyone should be able to set it up.

Aw, nuts.

I registered over at the BOSI boards to discuss the specifics of my issue, as I got a little closer on tonight's pass. I'd love to be able to figure out what I'm doing wrong, even if I never wind up using it.
