so far, so good
I always start my solo leagues in 1871.
In the past it usually took sometime to setup a league. There were some work arounds you had to do to get a league started in the 19th century with historical team =s with correct players and correct league setup. Instead of the fictional setup. I am pleased to say this year setting up my league was breeze. Took maybe an hour and that was just initial testing and then setting up team owners, managers team uniforms etc. Now i use a custom Teams csv and era ballparks files. I also use a lot of stuff I've collected from modders over the years. I turned off expansion draft and all the teams had their correct players. I didn't have to release all players and then sign them. Even the 19th century ballparks that modders made showed up without any manual import. Now the historic transactions don't kick in till 1872. Also when using the actual historic league setup, the game will fold NY, Philadelphia and Washington and have them come in as expansion teams in 1872. But the rosters were still accurate. And that's a minor inconvenience. So i guess what i'm saying is so far, so good. |
