HR-
SD- Manny Machado (1)
COL-Ronald Acuna Jr. (1), Hunter Goodman (1), Mike Trout (1), Kris Bryant (1)

The Rockies jumped all over Darvish and the Padres early, with 6 runs in the first 3 innings. Hunter Goodman got things going with a 3 run shot in the first, before Trout and Bryant each added solo shots of their own in the 2nd. Alex Cobb finished the 2 inning save.

Game 2

W-German Marquez (1-0, 0.00) L-Yuki Matsui (0-1, 9.00)
HR-
SD-Ha-Seong Kin (1)
COL-Kris Bryant (2), Ezequiel Tovar 2 (2)

The Rockies jumped on starting pitching early again with another 1st inning 3 run shot, this time coming from Kris Bryant off Matthew Boyd. Tovar added on in the 4th with a 2 run shot, but the Padres were able to tie the game thanks to Kim's 3 run homer in the 6th, where they remained deadlocked until Tovar's second home run of the game in the 8th inning off close Yuki Matsui broke the tie, sending the Padres home in a sweep

NLWC 2: (6) St. Louis @ (3) Chicago

Game 1
Cardinals 5, Cubs 4
W-Ryan Helsley (1-0, 0.00) L-Luke Little (0-1, 9.00)
HR-
STL-Dylan Carlson (1), Nolan Arenado (1), Tommy Edman (1)
CHC-Nico Hoerner (1), Owen Caissie (1)

The Cubs got to Chris Bassitt early, with a pair of 2 run shots in the first inning. But from there on they could get zip, while the Cardinals would slowly work their way back into the game. Rookie close Luke Little came in looking for the 2 inning save but allowed a pair of solo shots, Dylan Carlson to tie it in the 8th and Tommy Edman for the lead an inning later.

Game 2
Cardinals 8, Cubs 4
W-Kenyan Middleton (1-0, 3.38) L-Ben Brown (0-1, 3.38) S-Giovanny Gallegos (1, 0.00)
HR-
STL-Jordan Walker 2 (2)
CHC-None

Jordan Walker got to rookie Ben Brown twice, hitting 2 bombs and driving in 7 runs total. Turned into a bullpen game for the Cardinals as Kyle Gibson left in the 2nd inning with a back injury, but they held it down to send their rivals home early.

HR-
SEA: Luke Raley (2)
HOU: Jacob Melton (1)

Bad defense costs the Mariners in game 1, as one error leads to a 3 run homer by RF Jacob Melton (98 OPS+) to give the Stros a lead. The Mariners would battle back, but another error costs them the lead again for good.

Game 2
Mariners 1, Astros 7
W- Lance McCullers Jr. (1-0, 1.50) L-Bryce Miller (0-1, 5.14) S- Scott Barlow (1, 0.00)
HR-
SEA-None
HOU-None

This one was all Houston. Timely hitting leads to a 2-0 series lead. Scott Barlow works 3 scoreless frames for the save,

Game 3
Astros 10, Mariners 3
W-Justin Verlander (1-0, 1.50) L-George Kirby (0-2, 4.85) S-Josh Hader (2, 0.00)
HR-
SEA-Mitch Haniger (1)
HOU-Alex Bregman (1), Kyle Tucker (1), Jose Altuve (1)

Bregman and Altuve got to Kirby early in the game and the Mariners couldn't really recover. A 2 run homer by Mitch Haniger brought the Mariners to within 2 at one point, but the Stros scored 5 times in the 9th, capped off by a Kyle Tucker grand slam to nail the coffin
