Remaining Peak Seasons or Remaining Seasons of Career?

Hello,

I am starting a historical franchise in 1978. In regards to potential ratings, which option is more historically more accurate: remaining peak seasons or remaining seasons of career?

Is there a pro/con of each?

Thanks!

I go with Remaining Peak Seasons because it seems more accurate, but it's not as if Remaining Seasons of Career would be inaccurate.

Up until recently I have always gone with remaining years. I have not noticed a difference in potential ratings. Maybe current. Have not noticed any difference in their play/stats over a 5 yr period.

If you are planning on playing with Recalc on, I don't think this setting will have much meaning, other than it would be an info-only look at each player's future. And then - especially if you are playing with historical transactions off - OOTP AI most-likely makes some of its decisions based upon players' potential ratings...

This is pretty murky area of OOTP. We have had pretty long threads on the subject and it's basically several gamers giving their best guesses of what we think the effects are of the various potential ratings settings

I will have Recalc Off and will be using OOTP Development Engine.

Thanks for the responses. I’m leaning towards using Remaining Peak Seasons…but haven’t fully decided yet.
