What's your preferred brand, sir?
Tough one. You named off some great ones. Blattens of course. Woodford anything is excellent. But since my days of first drinking whiskey back in 1984 I've been partially Jack Daniels. Now there's better whiskeys out there no question. But when it comes to just me sitting at home going to pour me a little taste for the evening I'm going to grab for Jack rye. Jack Daniel's Sinatra select is one of my favorite whiskeys. I think the 10-year Jack Daniels at $650 a bottle is way overpriced. My idea of the best bourbon that punches way above its price point would be Buffalo Trace. But in general my favorite whiskey... scotch...burbon it's pretty much what's in front of me at that particular time. 😂🍻

To the OP:

Fair path to a performance boost (and thus some increased fun) for the many theme teams - which are popular for those that are "free to play" or have 2nd or 3rd teams.

More ways to build a competitive team instead of chasing and bottlenecking for the same darn cards (that have had very high, often quite prohibitive, prices in the past obviously) as everyone else.

If we don’t have the right to disagree about bourbon varieties, we aren’t truly free!

As someone who gather data from my tournaments to try and get an edge, the chemistry boost is unquantifiable and doesn't show in the data so it should add some randomness to lineup building. Someone could value chemistry above the meta players and gain an advantage so overall, I think it should lead to have more variety.

However, I do feel that we should know how chemistry impacts the lineup...

With that said, nothing wrong with your choices but when it comes to bourbon its Basil Hayden for me, one ice cube. Thats a PT with good chemistry

yeah, mission reward cards really shouldn't be providing a chemistry boost to one another - those cards are already much stronger than cards drawn from packs, so constructing a roster full of them and getting a 60-70% chemistry boost is overkill. there's a guy in my league right now running 23/26 mission rewards cards who's currently sitting at 54-7.

if the idea behind chemistry is to enable otherwise less-competitive "themes" to be competitive, mission rewards cards boosting one another doesn't make any real sense - "all the cards from completing missions" isn't a theme in any meaningful way, it's how the best teams have always performed across all versions of PT.

the first two bullet points explaining chemistry (players who have been teammates, players from the same year or team) make sense, whereas the card category association doesn't really.

True that, but I expect that anyone running out a team with all or almost all missions completed is ahead of the game and will probably dominate regardless.

Interesting - in my Perfect Team league (Silver .275), I have a team that has a lot of the mission edition players and is currently sitting in 2nd by 6.5 games to a team that has much lower overall rated players than I do.

His advantage? His team is made up almost exclusively of Houston Astros, and he has a team chemistry of 96.07% to my 20.47%.

I would guesstimate his enormous team chemistry is helping his cause dramatically.

Personally, I really like the chemistry system, it's fun, there should be more ways to get boosts to do different synergies with your cards besides just buying the obviously highest-rated cards.
