Update about today's release

Update 1: Still no Steam approval, but we have started with our launch preparations anyway, shutting down access to PT ahead of our server reset as outlined in the launch plan.

Hi friends,

unfortunately, we have not received the game approval from Steam yet. And since our contact there is on the West coast, I do not expect to receive the approval in time for our scheduled release time of 9 AM ET. The problem is, we cannot launch without this, it's technically not possible.

So please everybody cross your fingers that we get this approval today. I will keep you updated here.

The launch is when we get the approval. We cannot launch earlier. That's what I just wrote.

It does say on Steam: approx. time to release: 2 hrs. at 11:17 German time; I guess 6:17 eastern?

I am showing the same thing.

I am guessing about 8 AM EST or 1300 GMT +1

I wonder if Markus just has not updated us on this, or if he is unaware.
Looks like it will ready for the vast majority of North America by the morning there.

Yes, that is the originally planned release time. I tried to edit it this morning to push it back, but the interface wouldn't allow it. So, ignore it please.

Does this impact the Fast Spring release as well, or will it just delay when the entry pool is created?

There will be no new build, but we won't start up the servers and PT access until we have the approval from Steam.

Well, the worst possible scenario is that we don't get any Steam approval today at all. That would push the entire release to next week.

Well if they're on the west coast it's currently 4:45 am. Probably 4 hours or so before anyone there is in a position to do anything.
