Fictional League Draft Class

Is there a way to control and create the draft class in a fictional league?

So I figured out a workaround...

I've set up a small league (I think a bigger league would be harder) in a small obscure country. ( I chose Guernsey) and imported historic players manually into my game while manually retiring the really good local regen players. I don't mind if some of the lower level players make it into the league but I'd like the top talent to all be historic players.

Its a little haphazard but I've enjoyed looking at HockeyDB.com for players to add manually. Eventually, if I grow this fictional league I might just have to give up retiring players since that's a bit time consuming but manually adding players is kind of fun.

I'd love to be able to edit a draft class and import them, but this will work for now.

Is it dependent on their age? Draft eligibility is like September something one year to September something the following year?

At least that's how I've had to filter draftees (or at least potential ones) when trying to isolate guys from a standard NHL game. I wish the CSV's game handlded the draft class for that year as a separate entity that could be viewed in isolation - as you've mentioned. Would make it easier when trying to do analysis or build 3rd party tools for the draft experience.

If I install historical players as 18 year olds they are draftable, but there seems to be some variation if they end up being 19 or 20 year olds despite my draft being 18-20 year olds.
