Return of "Our League" ?
Just wanted to drop the idea out there. With the increase in "$" or "t" in Perfect Team to succeed, I can't help but wish the "Our League" format we were in before Stanley Kuppchaser passed would be great to bring back for version 25. Stl Jason was involved too. Is there any volunteers to help run such a league next year? It would be historical-only cards again with maybe PT+ allowed(?)... and I think someone out there must still have the spreadsheet that made slight of the lookup work.
Thoughts? PS: The original "Our League" format was (1) Historical Cards only. No Live or Future Legends. (2) No real money invested (Honor System). OL standings were assembled from team-versus-team reports, and a minimum of 6 matchups betwen OL teams were required to qualify. Each week, it was the responsibility of each team to place their team on a friends list containing the teams in OL. HRB Last edited by HRBaker; 10-05-2023 at 08:50 AM. |

I'd be happy to have one of my satellite teams join
But I occasionally travel so I won't be much help on the league management side.

I will commit to a team but health issues keep me from being responsible for anything.
But I can be a good cheerleader.

I would be interested as I barely played PT this year without OL. As one of the handful of people who provided stats on a regular basis it would nice if others jumped in from time to time. Instead of daily updates just the "final" on Sunday might be a way to give people a break who provide the standings. I will admit I suffered burnout doing it on a daily basis week in and week out.
It is more of the fact of having likeminded players grouped together in the same league so if we can generate enough interest, I will certainly give it a go. |

I'll be intrigued to see if this goes anywhere, but I'm probably just gonna stick with the HotL group. I feel like OL died with SK, since we'll never be able to fully re-capture the magic.

At present, we have 4 parties more or less interested. I would suspect we should have at least 12 to make it realistically successful. I think twice a week reporting would be acceptable to most (Thursday AM and Sunday night). Let's let this run for a while and see what kind of responses we get. No rush at this point.

You might want to highlight the differences and advantages of Our League compared to regular PT. I'm not in the know, and there are probably others like me who were unaware or vaguely aware of its existence but didn't know what it was all about.

Assuming that such a function hasn't already been added this year, the devs could make it a lot easier for everyone in friend leagues if they added the ability to display/export a customized league table.

I don't think current ownership is interested in making anything "easier" for F2P players. Back when Markus & Co. ruled the roost, this kind of idea would have been possible, but today I can't see labor hours invested with no guaranteed return. |

Would certainly have been a significant QoL improvement for the couple of years I was doing OL tables. But, in terms of being able to view standings between a limited selection of teams, why wouldn't it also be popular with the top P2W friends?

Including PT+ as acceptable into the mix would help.
