Congratulations Turon - they're one of my favorite IPA franchises. I like the colors of their uniforms, and they have great logos too. In my IPA they play in Marlins Park, seems like a perfect fit.

Glad you figured out how to make your box scores look better too.

i'm glad Turon won; considering the trouble you had with the playoffs. Turon was definitely the best in the IPA this season.

Congrats on another season, EC!

Much appreciate jg2977 and Dark Horse for being such loyal followers.

Have to announce the award winners and that will complete the 2078 Islandian Pro Alliance season.

AWARD-WINNING TIME ALL ACROSS ISLANDIA
Islandian Pro Alliance players play for the Pro Cup Trophy, division crowns and also lastly for individual awards... they take pride in all of the awards given out at the end of each season, but several of them are quite special... the league batting title for the top hitter and the ERA crown for the most productive pitcher.

The Ruthlandian Union batting champion was Fort Benton's 27-year-old second sacker Stosh Dusek... he won it handily with a .343 BA... that was 14 points better than second place Sid Barton of Grand City at the .329 mark... Clyde Clanahan of Ranford finished third with a .325 BA... followed by Eastshore's Bama Sweeney and St. John's Jalen Jackman at .324 and Crystal Lake's Cookie Garland with a .323 mark in the 6th spot.

Over in the Tycobbian Union the batting victor was Johnny Davidson of the Kenwood Wildcats with a .343 average... he won a tightly-contested race with Carroll Ezzell of South Fork (.337 BA) and Mac Langdon of Chicopee (.335 BA)... Kenwood's Celistino Silva (.330 BA) was a distant 4th... Rolling Hills' Jaron Shufford (.328 BA) came in 5th and Happy Cassady (.322 BA) finished in the 6th position... this was Davidson's second go-round... he also took the batting crown in 2076 with a .357 BA.

Heading up the Ruthlandian hurlers was Leon Landers, 31-year-old right-hander for the Stoner Silver Sox... he was 15-8 with a splendid 2.21 ERA for a 6th place club... Landers had the top ERA in the RU this season... southpaw Jeff Kennon (14-11/2.25 ERA) wasn't very far behind in second place... left-hander Major Rowling (13-4/2.46 ERA) was in the third spot... with portsider Rodger Kittrell (12-9/2.49 ERA) of the Rocky Rapids Snappers in 4th place... Jethro Firestone (15-6/2.63 ERA), a righty, wound up fifth... and in 6th place was lefty Luke Zachary (16-4/2.65 ERA), who sparkled for the 7th place Claxton Diamonds.

Leading the Tycobbian Union twirlers was Kenwood's Davis Hickerson, who had a brilliant season with a 20-4 mark with league-leading 1.87 ERA... he just barely beat out North Hills left-hander Jerome Lowerstein (19-7/2.02 ERA) and Hillsboro's Harmon Ford (16-6-2.06 ERA) for the ERA championship... Bayview's Jason Irons (14-8/2.20 ERA) wound up in fourth place... with Percy Herrin (16-4/2.36 ERA) of High Mesa and southpaw Shorty Meaux of White River winding fifth and sixth.

EC got lucky and they came out good... luckily I got the wordmark from a minor league team.

If you want them, I'll post them in your Mods thread.

I think you already have a set done by txranger with different colors.

Please do, in case I decide to change my Fort Benton team's nickname. I'm actually using the Defenders set in the red colors again - I can't remember who did those logos and jerseys, but I will look it up. Ft Benton already won a Pro Cup in my new IPA last season.

EDIT: They were done by No Pepper

SWINNERTON AND HAZLE SWINGIN' GOLDEN BATS IN IPA
The Islandian Pro Alliance announced the most prolific batters for the 2078 season... swinging the Golden Bats this year are LaGrange's Tory Swinnerton and Turon's Robert Hazle... Swinnerton is the Ruthlandian Union Golden Bat recipient, while Hazle was honored with the Tycobbian Union Golden Bat trophy.

Swinnerton edged out Christopher Jung of the Ranford Bulls and Andre Lemoine of the Belle Plaine Musketeers in the RU Golden Bat balloting... Hazle outperformed Willie Nelson of the Oxford Red Caps and Johnny Davidson of the Kenwood Wildcats for the TU Golden Bat honor.

At 26 LaGrange first sacker Tory Swinnerton is a 6-year veteran with 5 home-run titles... this season he played in 153 games, batted a solid .308 with 185 hits, 30 doubles, 2 triples, 49 homers, 121 RBIs and 107 runs, sparking the LaGrange Gators to a 4th-place finish in the Ruthlandian North Division... Swinnerton topped the RU in roundtrippers and RBIs this season.

RU Golden Bat runner-up Christopher Jung led his Ranford Bulls to a fine year... they came in second to the Kilkenny Cats in the RU North, falling just 4 games short of first place... Just in his second full-time season at the age of 23, Jung appeared in 153 contests with a .306 BA, 181 hits, 26 doubles, 7 triples, 36 home runs, 108 ribbies and 110 runs.

Coming in third in the Ruthlandian Golden Bat voting was 16-year veteran Andre Lemoine, first baseman for the Belle Plaine Musketeers... he had a glorious resurrection this season at 36, participating in all of the 154 games with a .313 mark, 177 hits, 30 doubles, 3 triples, 33 homers, 113 RBIs and 100 runs... it was great year for the Muskies... they finished third only 4 games back of the RU East champion Wynnamac Sundowners.

The 2078 Tycobbian Union Golden Bat winner, Robert Hazle, is 27 and has been with Turon for 5 seasons... this year he stood out with a .305 BA in 151 games in right field with 177 hits, 33 doubles, 11 triples, 31 homers, 115 RBIs and 107 runs... he also stole 44 bases... Turon ran away with the Tycobian South Division, winning it by 12 games over second place Summerland.

Willie Nelson is just 23 years old... he has been Oxford's regular first basemen for 3 years now... he wound up second in the TU Golden Bat poll... he topped the Tycobbian Union with 47 roundtrippers and 119 RBIs this season, while playing 153 games and batting .305 with 181 hits... Nelson has paced the Tycobbian Union in homers the last two years... it was a fine season for the Red Caps, too... they almost won the TU North... Oxford ended up in third place, just 2 games back of pennant-winning Hartsdale.

Kenwood's second baseman Johnny Davidson continued to excel, winning his second batting crown in the last three years... he is a 3-time All-Star and Golden Glover... at age 23 Davidson led the Tycobbia Union with 209 hits and a .343 BA this season... he had 42 doubles, 1 triple, 7 dingers, drove in 89 runs and scored 90 in 151 games... Davidson wound up in the third spot in the TU Golden Bat Award voting.

IPA GOLDEN SLINGER AWARDS GIVEN TO LANDERS IN RU AND HICKERSON IN TU
As it worked out, the Islandian Pro Alliance pitchers with the best ERAs nabbed the 2078 Golden Arm Awards, too... Leon Landers of the Stoner Silver Sox was acclaimed the Ruthlandian Union Golden Arm and Davis Hickerson of the Kenwood Wildcats was selected the Tycobbian Union Golden Arm... Landers and Hickerson won the awards for the first time this season.

Leon Landers is a 31-year-old southpaw for the Stoner Silver Sox... though the Sox suffered through a mediocre season coming in 6th in the Ruthlandian West Division, Landers still had a fine season with a 15-8 mark and a league-leading 2.21 ERA... in 33 games, he made 30 quality starts with 4 shutouts, worked 248 innings and allowed only 196 hits with 210 strikeouts and 68 walks... teams only hit .217 against Landers with 5 home runs... in his 5-year career he has posted a standout 79-37 record with a fine 3.10 ERA.

#2 in the RU Golden Bat poll was Major Rowling, who sparked the Sligo Rovers to the Ruthlandian West pennant with a 13-4 mark in 34 starts with a 2.46 ERA and 4 shutouts... he made 28 quality starts... the 30-year-old lefty fanned 240 batters in 238 innings... in 5 years with the Rovers Rowling is 79-37 overall with a strong 2.77 ERA.

#3 in the RU Golden Arm voting was Claxton portsider Luke Zachary... like Landers he shined in spite of the Diamonds poor 7th-place finish in the RU South... Zachary was 16-4 with an impressive 2.65 ERA... he tossed 224 innings, allowed only 191 hits and fanned 213... Zachary blossomed this season at age 26 after 4 mediocre years with Claxton... overall he is only 28-25 with a 3.69 career ERA.

Kenwood's Davis Hickerson is the winner of the coveted Tycobbian Union Golden Arm Award... during the 2078 campaign, he exceeded his mound peers with a brilliant season with a 20-4 record in 32 starts... in his 249 innings Hickerson yielded 212 hits and 48 walks and compiled a terrific 1.87 ERA... he made 30 quality starts and posted 3 shutouts and 16 complete games... Hickerson was a huge reason the Wildcats won the TU West Division flag... he has been a workhorse for Kenwood for 5 seasons, averaging over 200 innings each year... lifetime Hickerson is only 68-48 with a respectable 3.41 ERA... he really came of age this year at 31.

It took quite a year to top Jerome Lowenstein in 2078... the big 6'8" left-hander was simply superb with a 19-7 record, 2.02 ERA, 34 starts, 270 strikeouts in 267 innings and only 60 bases on balls... 5 shutouts, 29 quality starts and 19 complete games... Lowenstein topped the Tycobbian Union in starts and strikeouts, yet he wound up a very close second to TU Golden Arm winner Davis Hickerson... after 5 years in the IPA Lowenstein is 84-46 with an excellent 2.98 ERA... he was the prime mover in the North Hills Hawks season... they came in 5th in the TU North, but only 3 games out of first place.

Summerland southpaw Don Brick was a distant third in the TU Golden Arm poll, but he still had a fine season with 17 victories and only 5 losses with a 2.85 ERA, leading his club to a runner-up spot to the TU South and IPA Pro Cup champion Turon Typhoons... at age 30 he made 25 quality starts, whiffed 174, walked only 54 batters and tossed 240 innings in 32 starting assignments... this was only his third year with the Sunsets... in his career Brick has put up 37 wins and only 14 defeats with a top-notch 2.92 ERA.

BELLE PLAINE'S KAYLAN AND ARROYO GRANDE'S MONTALVO ARE IPA BEST NEWCOMERS
Two corner outfielders were hailed as the Islandian Pro Alliance best newcomers this season... Denver Kaylan of the Belle Plaine Musketeers in the Ruthlandian Union and Miggy Montalvo of the Arroyo Grande Suns in the Tycobbian Union were chosen the 2078 IPA Rookies of the Year.

Kaylan bested pitcher Steve Farnham of Forest City... third in the top rookie poll was third baseman Jules Robichaux of LaGrange... Kaylan, age 26, took the honor by hitting .269 in 141 games and finishing with 133 hits, 25 doubles, 7 triples, 3 roundtrippers, 51 ribbies, 77 runs scored and 30 stolen bases... Kaylan sparked downtrodden Belle Plaine to a rise in the standings, improving from 70-84 to 80-74 this season... the Muskies were only 4 games back in third place behind pennant-winning Wynnamac (84-70) and second place Eastshore (83-71).

Steve Farnham played for the 5th place Forest City Firebirds (76-78) in the Ruthlandian West... they ended up 10 and a half games behind the first place Sligo Rovers (87-68)... at age 25 Farnham was one of the few rookie hurlers who won starting spots in the IPA... he wound up 12-11 with a fine 3.10 ERA, working 209 innings in 28 starting assignments with 21 quality starts... Farnham fired 3 shutouts in his debut season.

The third-highest votegetter in the RU Rookie of the Year poll was the third sacker for the LaGrange Gators, Jules Robichaux... his Gators improved from 7th place (61-93) to the 4th spot (81-73), 9 games out of the top team, the Kilkenny Cats (90-64)... Robichaux played in 114 games with a solid .283 BA, 22 doubles, 2 triples, 13 homers, 42 RBIs and 57 runs... Robichaux is 23 years old.

At the young age of 19, Miggy Montalvo jumped right into the Arroyo Grande lineup and played like a veteran from the git-go... in his rookie year the talented right fielder burst on the scene with a .303 BA and 144 hits in 133 games... Montalvo clouted 31 out of the park, drove in 84 runs and scored 76 times, leading the Suns to 4th place in the Tycobbian South, won by the IPA Pro Cup champion Turon Typhoons.

In a very close vote Montalvo outpolled runner-up Arjan Westervelt of the runner-up Summerland Sunsets (88-66) in the Tycobbian South Division... his club had a fine season, winding up in the second position, but still finishing 12 games behind powerful Turon... playing left field in 138 games Westervelt collected 124 hits and batted .281 with 16 homers, 75 RBIs and scored 73 runs... Westervelt debuted in the IPA at age 24.

High Mesa's 19-year-old right-hander Jeremy Dabbs hotly-contested the TU top rookie poll coming in a very close third and just barely beaten out by Montalvo and Westervelt... Dabbs dazzled in his first year with a 16-8 mark with a superb 2.37 ERA... he fired 220 innings in 33 starts and fanned 179 batters... he was the best rookie hurler in the IPA this year... Dabbs hurled 3 shutouts and made 26 quality starts... it was also a pretty good year for the High Mesa Buckaroos, who compiled an 81-73 record in the tough Tycobbian East Division... the Cowboys wound up in 4th place and trailed division winner South Fork by 9 games... Ozarka and Tuckanarra tied for the 3rd spot, just 5 games out.

LAGRANGE'S SWINNERTON AND TURON'S HAZLE DOUBLE DIPPERS... WIN IPA MVP AWARDS, TOO
Nope, Tory Swinnerton and Robert Hazle are not greedy ballplayers, just gifted and talented team players... when it comes to awards and trophies, they are double dipping this year... not only did they nab the IPA Golden Bats Awards, they also hauled in the IPA Most Valuable Player Trophies for 2078... Tory Swinnerton of the LaGrange Gators is the Ruthlandian Union MVP and Robert Hazle of the Turon Typhoons is the Tycobbian Union MVP.

It was a rerun of the Golden Bat voting... the same three batters battled for the RU Most Valuable Player honors and it ended up in the same order... LaGrange's 26-year-old right fielder Tory Swinnerton nudged past Christopher Jung of the Ranford Bulls and Andre Lemoine of the Belle Plaine Musketeers in another very close ballot.

Playing first base Swinnerton sparked LaGrange to a fourth-place finish in the Ruthlandian North pennant race, winding up 9 games behind the division champion Kilkenny... Swinnerton pace the RU with 49 home runs and 121 runs batted in... this is nothing new to him... for the last 5 seasons Swinnerton has been the HR leader... twice in that time he has also led in RBIs... this season he collected 185 hits in 153 games for a .308 BA... overall Swinnerton has batted .292 in his 6 years with the Gators with 226 roundtrippers... in 2074 he was voted the RU Rookie of the Year... twice Swinnerton has been honored with a Golden Glove... this is his first time to win the Golden Bat and the Most Valuable Player Trophy.

Christopher Jung propelled his Ranford Bulls to a fine year... they came in second to the Kilkenny Cats, just 4 games out of the top spot... Jung wound up second in the RU MVP balloting, batting .306 with 181 hits in 153 games with 36 dingers, 108 ribbies and 110 runs scored... at 24 Jung has been in the league 4 seasons and a regular the last 2 years... in 2077 he excelled with a .326 BA, 30 dingers, 108 and scored 110 runs... Jung won a Golden Glove this season and has made the RU All-Stars the last 2 years.

#3 in the Ruthlandian MVP race was Andre Lemoine of the Belle Plaine Musketeers... what a year he had... he led the Muskies to a close 3rd place finish, just 4 games behind first place Wynnamac... at the remarkable age of 36 Lemoine played like he did in his prime years 10 years ago... he played in all 154 games, hit .313 with 175 hits, 30 doubles, 3 triples, 33 homers, 113 RBIs and scored 100 times... in Lemoine 16 seasons in Belle Plaine he has batted .306 in his career with 315 homers and 1169 RBIs... he won the RU Golden Bat in 2069 and has made the All-Star team on 4 occasions.

Over in the Tycobbian Union, the Most Valuable Player race was a dogfight between 3 excellent choices... Turon's splendid right fielder Robert Hazle has been the model of consistency in his 5 seasons in the IPA... at age 27 this was his best year, leading the Typhoons to a great season... not only did they triumph in the TU South Division, they went all the way and captured the team's 6th Pro Cup Trophy this season... Hazle played in 151 games, sported a .305 BA, 177 hits, 33 doubles, 11 triples, 26 homers, 115 RBIs, scored 96 times and stole 24 bases... this was his first year to be voted the TU Golden Bat and the TU Most Valuable Player... Hazle made the Tycobbian All-Stars in 2076 and 2078.

24-year-old second baseman Johnny Davidson has been with the Kenwood Wildcats for the last 5 years, the last 3 seasons as a regular... he is a regular hit machine with over 200 hits each year... twice Davidson has led the TU in base hits, this year and in 2076... twice he has led it in BA... he topped it in 2076 with a .356 BA and this year at .342... Davidson collected 209 hits in 151 games with 42 doubles, 1 triple and 7 roundtrippers... he drove in 89 runs and scored 90 runs... Davidson sparked Kenwood to the TU West Division flag this season... the Wildcats won it handily by 9 games... 3 times he has been voted to the TU All-Star team and he has won a Golden Glove... lifetime Davidson is hitting a terrific .342.

Along with Johnny Davidson, pitcher Davis Hickerson was very prominent in Kenwood's great season... he had such a great year, he came close to winning the Tycobbian Union Most Valuable Player honor... Hickerson came in a very, very close 3rd in the voting... at age 31 he starred this season with a superb 20-4 record in 32 starting assignments, worked 250 innings, fanned 203 batters, walked only 48 and easily led the TU with a remarkable 1.87 ERA... Hickerson made 30 quality starts, had 16 complete games and posted 3 shutouts... prior to this season Hickerson was just an average hurler... overall in 5 seasons he is 68-48 with a pretty good 3.41 ERA... Hickerson made the All-Star team for the first time this year... he also was selected as the 2078 Tycobbian Union Golden Arm for the first time in his career.

STRATFORD AND SCOTTSDALE REPEAT AS IPA TOP SKIPPERS
Twice is nice is a common saying, but it doesn't occur a lot in the Islandian Pro Alliance... only 5 times in the IPA's long and illustrious history has a manager repeated as Manager of the Year... yep, it happened this season in both the Ruthlandian Union and the Tycobbian Union... in fact, this is the first time the repeat winners happened two seasons in a row in both the RU and the TU... Dave Stratford of the Kilkenny Cats and Nate Scottsdale were selected the 2077 IPA Managers of the Year and also repeated as the 2078 IPA Managers of the Year this year... this never occurred before... both Stratford and Scottsdale were easy winners in this season's best manager poll.

Dave Stratford piloted the Kilkenny Cats to their second straight Ruthlandian North flag this season and was rewarded with his second straight RU Manager of the Year trophy... the Cats wound up 90-64 this year and beat out the Ranford Bulls by 4 games for the pennant... Stratford was a workhorse hurler for Kilkenny... in 20 seasons 2034 to 2054 he twirled 207 victories and suffered 197 defeats with a respectable 3.65 ERA... Stratford took the reins in 2068, suffered through some dismal seasons until 2074... since then Kilkenny has been a solid contender in the RU North and has won the division the last two years.

Stratford handily outpolled runner-up Eliot Marcum of the Belle Plaine Musketeers, who guided his club to a fine season, winding up in the third spot in the RU East, just 4 games off the pace of division-winning Wynnamac... in '77 the Muskies were in 7th place at 70-84... they boosted their record to 80-74 this year... Marcum is only in his 3rd year as skipper... at age 32 he retired in 2070 after an 11-year career with Belle Plaine... he was an All-Star outfielder 3 times and won the RU Golden Bat Award in 2063 and 2064... in '64 Marcum also was the RU Most Valuable Player... from 2058 to 2069 he sported a .299 BA with 396 roundtrippers and 1204 ribbies... the Musketeers were a lousy club during that time.

Coming in a distant 3rd in the 2078 skipper of the year poll was Johnny Wyatt... he took over as manager in 2062 after a fine 14-year playing career with the Middlefield Roosters (2049-2062)... Wyatt has had only modest success as skipper... however, this season the Roosters went from 8th place (64-90) in the RU West to 3rd place (81-73), ending up only 5 and a half games back of first place Sligo (87-68)... as a player Wyatt is a near Hall-of-Fame performer... he sparked Middlefield to 8 pennants and 2 Pro Cups (2052, 2056) in his tenure, batting .273 with 492 homers and 1418 RBIs... Wyatt was the 2049 RU Rookie of the Year and also the MVP... he also was named MVP in '50, '53 and '54... and won one Gold Glove and was twice an All-Star.

Turon skipper Nate Scottsdale was chosen the 2078 Tycobbian Union Manager of the Year by a wide margin over second place Rusty Bradford of the Kenwood Wildcats and third place Jay Murphy of the South Fork Stallions... in his 11 seasons in charge his Typhoons have gathered in 7 division crowns and 2 Pro Cups (2072, 2078)... Turon upped its record from 97-57 in '77 to 100-54 this season... Scottsdale was a solid starter from 2037 to 2056 with a 362-277 mark and a 3.44 ERA... he was voted into the IPA Hall of Fame in 2057 despite the 277 losses and a relatively high ERA... Scottsdale was the TU Rookie of the Year in 2037 with a 21-7 record... he was a 3-time All-Star.

Rusty Bradford improved the Kenwood Wildcats from 82-72 and 5th place in 2077 to 90-64 and the TU West title in 2078... the Wildcats had a swift turnaround when he took command in 2076... Bradford was hard-working hurler for 17 seasons with Kenwood... he compiled a 260-216 mark with a quality 3.42 ERA from 2039 to 2055... twice Bradford made the Tycobbian All-Star team... the Wildcats won the TU West 7 times during his career.

South Fork manager Jay Murphy enjoyed another fine season... his Stallions again copped the TU East Division title with a 90-64 mark, beating out Ozarka and Tuckanarra by 5 games... in 2077 South Fork won the Pro Cup with an 88-66 record... they made it to the TU Title Series this year where they were beaten by Pro Cup champion Turon in 5 games... Murphy took charge of the Stallions in 2058... as the boss of the Stallions Murphy has won 6 TU East titles and 2 Pro Cups (2073, 2077) in his 21 seasons... as a player he was an impressive starter with a 250-185 record and a 3.24 ERA... twice Murphy won the TU Golden Arm Award (2042, 2044)... in '44 he also was named the TU Most Valuable Player... Murphy was 5-3 in the 2042 postseason playoffs with a 3.98 ERA... he won two games in the Pro Cup Finals, game one and game four... South Fork swept Colfax for the IPA crown that year.

5 managers have won the Manager of the Year Award two seasons in succession... in the Ruthlandian Union Clem Rogers of the Colfax Blasters was the first to do in 2009 and 2010... Far Mountain skipper Alex Groveland was honored 3 times in a row in 2012, 2013 and 2014... It's happened 3 times in the Tycobbian Union... Ozarka's Joe Mac Carney was picked in 2015 and 2016... followed by Charley Oscar of the Southport Sun Sox in the 2044 and 2045 seasons... and finally by Billy Christianson of the Rolling Hills Racers... in a remarkable run Christianson won 4 times straight from 2061 to 2065.
