They don't use real contracts, and OOTP can't do multiple options like that anyway.

Got it. But at least they can put the exact contract amount or close to it. And I know that we can modify it in multiple ways, but again, if they strive for a realistic MLB experience, contracts should be close to real.

Is like an issue I found with the Beloit Sky Carp about the logos and colors: I point it out but they did not address it. Maybe they will change it later.

But...they did get the Correa one almost identical to real life (minus the multiple options)?

Yep, you're right. The last four years are exactly like real life. Maybe they don't do odd numbers like real life contracts. In conclusion, contracts are 99.9% correct. Maybe I'm a little upset that they haven't updated the Beloit Sky Carp logos and colors hehehe.

Is anyone having problems when importing the roster txt file? Do you get duplicate and retired players?

What we include for minor league teams logos and unis depends on what we get from MLB. So even if something is not technically up to date, we may not be able to change this until we're given updated information.

The O's aren't paying all of James McCann's contract, they are only paying him $2.5m per year.

For the Washington Nationals, prospect Jarlin Susana is listed as having his fastball sit 94-96. Scouting reports IRL have his fastball sitting triple digits and going as high as 103mph. His slider should be mid-90s.

Neither Fangraphs nor BA nor MLB.com say he sits triple digits, so I tend to take these reports with a couple grains of salt.

It does sound like he more sits in the high 90's though, so will definitely boost his velocity a bit more, probably to 97-99. The slider velocity we can't control though, that the game just auto sets based on the the overall velocity.

Gave him some other potential boosts as well, since I think we were overall kind of low on him

A couple of minor Braves roster notes. Any ratings were used with accuracy at 100% as of this morning's latest BETA patch.

- Ryder Jones is now a pitcher. He is still in the game as a 3B.
- Hoy Park seems to still have his name scrambled. Potential issue still with minor league guys?
- Charlie Morton and Huascar Ynoa's arm slot are both listed as sidearm. Should be 3/4.
- Nick Anderson currently shows as having a FB/SL combo in OOTP. It should be a FB/CB combo, according to Statcast.
- Max Fried's curveball should be rated higher than 55/55. 40.2 whiff % on it this past season and only allowed a .191 xWOBA off of it.
- Marcell Ozuna's arm is probably rated too highly, even at 50.
- Eli White ranked in 98th percentile in sprint speed. Currently rated 60 speed in-game.
- Dylan Dodd should *probably* get a small ratings boost after the Spring he had. I know this is completely discretionary, but felt it was worthy of including.
- Austin Riley is currently listed as a ground ball batted ball profile. Should be fly ball. Nearly identical BB%'s to Matt Olson.

I'll check over and fix up the Braves stuff.

Couple thoughts that occur just from looking the comments over.

-Park is scrambled because he's a Korean national who doesn't fall under our licensing agreements and this is necessary to comply with Korean law. Nothing to be done about that unless he gets added to the 40-man at some point.

-Brooks Baseball considers Anderson's breaking pitch a slider (https://www.brooksbaseball.net/tabs....ate=01/01/2024).

I'm not married to this assessment but iirc I've usually seen more scouting reports call this a slider too, and it looks more like a slider than a curve to my eye, so I'm hesitant to change this

- White's sprint speed. In OOTP, speed 95% just signifies how likely a player is to try to steal, not how truly 'fast' they are. If we give too high ratings here to guys who don't steal a lot irl, then it will lead to players stealing way more than they do in reality. This is obviously somewhat confusing, so it's very much on our list of things to add in the future to include a true 'speed' rating.

-Riley's gb profile is automatically assigned by the engine based on his stats/ratings, like all hitters gb/fb profiles. So not something we can manually change here.

Me again with some other Cardinal notes.

1. Both Tommy Edman and Dylan Carlson are rated as better hitters against RHP but they both are better against LHP
Edman's career Wrc+ vs LHP is 125 and vs RHP it's 95
Carlson career Wrc+ vs LHP is 142 And vs RHP it's 91

2. Couple of minor leaguers are showing up that have been released (Jhon Torres, Griffin Roberts, Tommy Jew, Gianluca Dalatri, Michael YaSenka, Levi Prater, Jonah Davis, Mack Chambers, and Keshawn Rombley)

3. Don't know if this is the AI placing players but Luken Baker is listed as a pitcher and while he was a 2-way player coming up he is firmly a 1st baseman now

Adjusted Edman and Carlson.

On the released guys, we have all these set as released correctly in the db. Is this happening in live start? If so, the issue might be with the info from our data provider, which is harder to adjust for. Hopefully they will update that soon.

Baker must just be AI weirdness as he's set correctly in the db. I took away any pitching experience though so the ai should just use him as a position player only now.

Yea they were on the team in live start so sounds like data provider issue. Not to mention full season rosters were only announced a few days ago so not sure how often teams lost released players

Is this why teams like the Sugar Land Space Cowboys still have Sugar Land Skeeters logos and colors despite changing multiple years ago? As well as some of the development league teams just being completely wrong like the Springfield Sliders having rebranded to the Lucky Horseshoes in Feb. 2022 but that not being reflected in game yet?

live start roster update soon?

so i just loaded the live starts for mar. 31 and apr. 16 and the free agents seem to be full of overrated players, these just at 50/80 ovr/pot: Mark Payton, Jose Pirela, Taylor Davis, Tyler Hill, Luke Westphal to name a few. this is with scouting at 100% btw

is there an update coming to the rosters any time soon?
