The company was sold. Either play OOTP or don't, but STFU about this straw man/boogeyman BS with Com2uS because it adds nothing to any conversations unless you want to make an offer to buy it yourself.

If there was any true competition to OOTP, I don't doubt a lot of people would be gone. But there just isn't.
You both defend the draconian measures in every thread where anyone dares to not be happy, not only defending but attacking those that A) complain about what happened or B) are trying to get some legit idea what we can do going forward to still play this game the way we want to play
it. This option is me. I've moved past the initial anger and just want to know some actual guidelines on have to proceed and still ha e the in game experience I desire. That answer can't cone from the handful of apologists like you because you don't have the answers either.

It is extremely clear how to play the game going forward. Do you not use the league, teams, or likeness of the Japanese professional baseball league.

Seems pretty easy and reasonable.

But it isn't at all. The rising sun league will have to be fully setup from scratch. Which takes time and effort to get the way a user wants. Yet, we really don't have a clue what will trigger the nuclear option. So there is absolutely no clarity

We've had users of said league that was nuked, which is to be expected with what was done. But there have also been users who highly customized and fictional leagues from the empire of the rising sun also nuked beyond recognization as well. So what is the parameters to avoid nuking? Is it the first and last name of every single real player in that league? What's the common denomination? I don't know, you definitely don't know... so some guidelines from the company is needed.

That seems like a completely reasonable alternative to, say, not having a game at all or never having had the option to have that league in the game previously. I imagine there will eventually be more clarity but the situation is obviously evolving and the OOTP has made it clear they do not feel like they can provide any more information than they have (which clarifies 90% of the issue) at the moment.

So why do you feel the need to A) keep responding like you know the answers B) even care that there are some of us that care about this situation or even C) can't just move on with your life and quit reading ans responding to things you obviously don't care about?. I've been around here for a long time. I've tried to be a helpful person when it comes to this community.

So, I'll admit that I probably take it more personally than I should when the game gets flamed.

It started out that I was just trying to make sure that the facts were clear. There were a lot of incorrect things being said about how the patch was affecting saves at the beginning and there is still plenty of that out there. Do you actually have an example at this point of a save that was altered and it is not known why?

It doesn't seem to just be the league name or team names tho. Ficti9nal leagues from that country have been affected as well. So while I understand there may be legal implications still at play... I feel if we just knew all the search parameters for the nuking things could begin to move forward. My fear is what if I create said fictional league and are in say 2042 and search parameters see the name Ichiro Nomo and its flagged because of Ichiro Suzuki and Hideo Nomo and then my league gets nuked. That save is ruined for me at that point. Think of the time and effort invested

But again, it's not your concern to fix. You didn't sell me the game on the idea I could do these types of things with it. Nor are you expected to fix this problem or even world hunger. So let's just agree we don't agree on this topic and stop debating what's wrong and right and what the solution is
