Messi jerseys are hot! No, not the store-bought variety. Any fool with $40 can buy one, including "plus" sizes.

The ones that I am talking about are hot ... and sweaty! Authentic Messi jerseys that have been worn in-game.

According to one estimate, there could be up to 2,000 of them in existence.

Quote:
Quite how many genuine, match-worn Messi jerseys are in existence is difficult to pinpoint. Argentina’s win against Croatia in Tuesday’s semifinal was, officially, the 1,002nd appearance, for club and country, of Messi’s senior career. That does not mean, though, that there are 1,002 Messi jerseys. The true figure, in fact, is more likely to be closer to double that.

Many players, after all, choose to use two jerseys during games, switching into a fresh number at halftime. Whether Messi does that in every match is not clear, but he has certainly done so on occasion. In 2012, for example, executives at the German team Bayer Leverkusen had to admonish two players for arguing over who would get Messi’s shirt at halftime.
There may be an after market in authentic Messi jerseys but the best way to obtain one is to exchange yours with his. Two rules: He never initiates an exchange, and he prefers exchanging with fellow Argentinians.

So, you may want to scour eBay to see if any "authentic" Messi jerseys are offered. Watch for counterfeits!

It’s the World Cup Souvenir Everyone Wants. Getting One Is the Hard Part.

A game-worn Lionel Messi jersey is the most coveted collectible in Qatar. Good luck getting hold of the one (or two) he wears in the World Cup final.

Wilt and Shaquille are two of the more prolific scorers in NBA history, yet they couldn't shoot a basketball to save their lives. Ever watch them point that thing from the free throw line? It's like they never played the game in their lives. Can't shoot better than a middle school girl, but two of the best players in NBA history. I find that fascinating.

Oh man..you missed Jim Thorpe, and a whole bunch of decathletes. Athleticism, strength, stamina, you name it, all rolled up into ten events, over a two day period.

So…we're just saying Messi is better than Pele, is that it? Seems like recency bias, I'd say.

Doesn't look bad so far with Argentina winning their first trophy in my lifetime.

I missed the last one by a couple o' weeks.

I'm happy with these results so far. The only team i dislike more than France is Brazil.

Do I seem them watering down the field during halftime?

The fact that I am pro Argentina, should give all France adherents hope.

I am that way with three-quarters of New York professional sports teams.

It's because New York teams love to sign players to big contracts rather than use analytics.

Messi just had his best chance for a regulation goal in this match.
