Smile Your fictional players changing their iconic look :oh no:

Frivolous eye candy I know but, have you had a player change their look and go "plain jane" on you? With your on field players now supporting their face-gen guys like Curt Gallimore popup.

I traded for Curt Gallimore, great setup guy, and he came with his iconic facial hair. My pitching view in game is a hybrid 70's style look from behind the plate. My pitcher's mugs, especially with facial hair, are easy and pretty cool to see. Then one day out of the blue I call on Curt, from the pen, and I see a clean shaven nerd. What was he thinking

Reminds me of Rick Vaughn going clean. Is he getting shelled now by any chance?

No, he's still doing fine but, his endorsements have taken a hit.

You didn't happen to hire Vern Rapp as your manager, did you?

You can always change it. In a 1980's historic league, I wanted Don Mattingly to look like ballplayer Don Mattingly, with black hair and a mustache, not like (currently former) manager Don Mattingly, with gray hair and clean-shaven, so I made the appropriate changes.

Never settle for a fake Mattingly mustache, lu29, when a real one will do...

As to Curt, does your team allow facial hair per the toggle? Otherwise, he's going for a reverse playoff beard approach!

Yeah, I know I can change it but that takes away from the immersion IMHO.

Players are allowed facial hair. Curt's decision. As long as he performs I'm good but I miss the look in game.

A littler deeper dive reveals that he's much better at pitching with the 'stache. '78 through '80 were peak 'stache years for Garcia.
