Issue with losing settings advancing to next season

Hello, I have it set in my settings to have feeder leagues and minor leagues, but always after the first season, those settings disappear and I no longer have feeder or minor league teams. How do I stop this from happening?

If you're playing historical mode, the game will always reload and reset any settings you change manually between seasons to match what happened in reality. You can customize this to some extent in the settings, by going to 'league settings' > 'historical' and ticking or unticking some of the options there.

So, can I save this league? It's an online league between me and a few other people. Or do I need to create a new league and not chose historical?
