Prospect potential going lower than current ability immediately after draft

Has anyone else seen this where a prospect's potential goes down below their current ability immediately after they're drafted? I've seen it happen repeatedly to my prospects in one of my online leagues. Meanwhile, the commissioners prospects all seem to be getting huge boosts to their potential immediately after the draft. This is in a league with scouting and development budgets turned off.

Do you think I'm just paranoid or do you think they're being edited?

Depends. This is rare in my experience, if it is the only league you have seen this in I'd just quit...

if you find that you see suspicious things often (multiple leagues multiple times a year), then you are likely seeing things that aren't there.
Hard to say with no concrete examples.

Can you post a screenshot of one of the commish's players that got huge boosts in potential ratings? A screenshot of one of your players having a potential lower than the current would also help.

Thanks! I've never suspected this of happening in a league before but it just seems like the commissioner keeps seeing huge ratings boosts not in line with what any other teams have seen. Here are some examples:

Looks shady af. That's a massive boost in the first year, which really ain't the norm. I'll echo that you should just quit that league.
