3 Questions Returning Player
I have returned to pick up OOTP 23 after a few years away and have some questions. They might be on several different subjects but rather put them all in one thread
1- How do I take a few teams and put them under human control without the whole league being on human control? I want to play and manage all games for all teams in the Mets organization. And currently the only way I found to do that is if I put every team in the entire universe under human control. That is way too much work for me. 2- Historical League Question- So I am curious if say I started in 1986. Would each year the players drafted on certain teams for the following seasons be drafted by them or do i do each draft and rewrite history? Or do I have the option to do either or? And then free agency I assume would just be wide open each year? 3- 1- Do Japan players and such in this game get posted for bidding occasionally like that do currently? Thank you in advance. |

Guess I stumped everyone with my questions. That or maybe the game does not need returning players?

Patience and faith are good qualities to have
Especially right around now, when OOTP 23 has just been released and lots of things are happening, especially with the most-experienced forum members.1. You can play out any game you want. I don't have the game in front of me atm but just go to the schedule for any league, and for all games there are two options - Manage and Quick Play. Quick play will of course immediately play out the game and show you the score. Manage will allow you to take control - to whatever degree you want - and play out the game. Note: After clicking Manage but before starting your game make sure on the Options & Preview page you set 'Simulate World in Background' to No. Otherwise, all games for that day - including (in your example) games for other teams in the Mets' organization - will auto play, and you don't want that (this selection should "stick" until you change it, so you shouldn't have to do this each time). Then, once you've bounced around all the various leagues and played out all Mets org games for that day, just finish the day (big green button in top right of pretty much any screen) to have OOTP auto-play all other games. 2. Depending upon your settings, 1st-year major leaguers can import directly to their historically-correct team, or they can import as free agents, or they be in a draft. Which are you wanting to happen? 3. Not sure I understand the question, and even if I did, I don't have experience with Japanese players, other than ones like Ichiro, who - depending upon your settings - should import as a rookie in 2001 to either Seattle, a draft, or as a free agent. 2. Since the records would change you would be changing history from the point you start at. So say if the Royals finish with the worse record they will probably draft Ken Griffey Jr 1st overall in 87 3. Yes Japanese players will get posted |

For number 1- I tried that before I posted and seemed to only show up allowing me to play if I choose the option of human owner for ALL TEAMS. I was hoping I could just go select the teams I wanted to be human owner. 2- Good question. I prefer the draft players go to the correct team but free agency is random and we sign who we can sign. |
