2022 World Cup
US gets England and Iran, so far. I like this. US SHOULD get second place in their Group B, irrespective of who the team drawn from pot 4 is.
Senegal, by far the strongest of the pot 3 teams, gets Qatar. The Netherlands and Senegal are almost assured of going through in Group A. More later, when the draw is complete. |

Will be an interesting World Cup for sure. I probably missed it, do they have all the regions into respective groups yet online? (would love to look it over for this competition.)

There is still a Euro play-off as well to decide the last European team I will of course watch because what else will I do? But a World Cup in November in Qatar is ****ing ridiculous. The November part more than where it is being played. But the amount of human misery that went into this WC is hard to stomach. And it being during the domestic season is also hard to get my head around. The last 3 teams will come from the following Wales/Scotland/Ukraine for the last Euro spot Peru/Australia/UAE Costa Rica/New Zealand Also, as of now these are the betting odds per BETMGM Brazil +500 France +550 England +550 Spain +800 Argentina +900 Germany +1000 Belgium +1100 Netherlands +1100 Portugal +1200 Denmark +2200 Uruguay +3300 Croatia +4000 Senegal +6600 Serbia +8000 USA +8000 Switzerland +8000 Mexico +10000 Poland +10000 Qatar +10000 Ecuador +15000 Wales +15000 Ukraine +15000 Ghana +15000 Cameroon +15000 Japan +20000 Peru +20000 Canada +20000 Iran +25000 Morocco +25000 South Korea +25000 Saudi Arabia +25000 Scotland +25000 Australia +30000 Tunisia +35000 United Arab Emirates +35000 Costa Rica +75000 New Zealand +75000 Last edited by rudel.dietrich; 04-01-2022 at 03:07 PM. |

I'm fortunate this year as the first games start at the beginning of my vacation week. I always watch all of the games, but I usually have to do backflips due to game times and work schedule. This is ideal.

Draw overview below.
Playoffs: Group B - Wales vs. (Scotland vs. Ukraine) Group D - Peru vs. (Australia vs. United Arab Emirates) Group E - Costa Rica vs. New Zealand As a manic Cristiano Ronaldo follower I don't like that Portugal got into Group H. The old man could have used the additional rest days of a "lower" group. ![]() In Germany, the "expert" bobbleheads are already doing backflips over the "easy" draw. Strange. I get 2018 vibes from that, when we drowned so badly against Mexico and Korea Republic that the players still had waters in the lungs at the following Euro

Will be keeping a close eye on Group F, though I have to say, my hopes aren't that high.

Any chance the US. matches their 2002 team? I think that's the right one. That cup was fun to watch. My ignorance knew no bounds as I thought we were an up and coming contender.

US reached the quarterfinals in 2002, their best showing ever outside the inaugural 1930 World Cup where they went out in the semifinals.

That caused one my friends to get the giggles. Then it spread. You know, one of those rare moments you have, usually as a kid, when you can't stop laughing where you shouldn't be laughing. Trying to hold it in. |
