Login Streak Frustrations

I don't log in at the same time every day. Today, I logged in later than I did yesterday. i.e. more than 24 hours from the last time. And it set me back to 1. Is that how it works? If it does, I'll just not try for those rewards.

Don't know, tbh. Was that 'more than 24 hours' across three calendar days (EST presumably) or only two? The blurb certainly suggests you need to log in every day, not within 24 hours of the last time.

Yeah, a "day" as defined by the game is from 00:00 GMT (usually 7 or 8 p.m. ET, depending on when GMT switches to/from DST) to 23:59 GMT, so you'd need to log in between those times to get the streak progress for the day.

Minor point, GMT doesn't change to a DST, but local time may. GMT is almost, but not quite, identical to UST (Zulu time).

I've been having problems too. Just now logged in, it's been less than 24 hours since I last logged in, and my streak was back to 1.

It's disheartening because I seriously play this game every day. I am always logged in and have gotten past two weeks just once, and that was yesterday.

Between that, and the fact that every card I need to complete a mission is obscenely overpriced, I'm pretty much done playing the game. I'm not going to spend 100,000 Perfect Points just to complete a mission. I've got a great Perfect Team and it's just getting blown out at the Silver level now. No point anymore. Good luck to those of you that do want to spend 100K PP on trash cards to complete a mission.

I'm sure its working as designed, but the user experience is quite frustrating.

I do log in every calendar day (per my time zone) and frequently have my streak ended b/c the time of day I actually log in varies.

There is a 100% solution to this that would make the user experience better.

The issue is that people play the game across many time zones. The game needs to set an official start to the game day. Midnight GMT makes as much sense as any other time.

There is a better solution, however. Time zones is just an excuse for how it was initially implemented. I agree that was obvious. But that was the first try, now it should be improved.

At the very least there could be some indication about when you need to log in to keep your streak alive. However better would be having a grace period.

logging in every day but losing your log in ever day streak is not a pleasant user experience, and obviously that is the goal of a product.

Is there no time during 24 hours that you can log in everyday? That helped me with it when the log in bonus started. I think they still have a problem with it if you do not actually log all the way in to the game for every team. That is when I seem to have a problem now. So I try to make sure I do.

I am in EST (Eastern US) and I just have to remember to wait until 7 PM to log in (will be 8 PM once DST kicks in), or do it in the morning when I get up. It's not hard, although I missed when I had Omicron.
