Wonderful work, hk. I especially like the Moonbeams one, and as a matter of fact, I have a team called the Unvuldaal Moonbeams in one of my leagues. I'd really appreciate it if you could alter your Seattle Moonbeams logo to say that, with the team colors for Unvuldaal used instead of the color or colors you used here for Seattle's Moonbeams.

I am definitely looking forwards to seeing what else you can possibly come up with in the future, even for the Bethlehem Bards from my other request thread, or for any of the teams in any of my other threads, for sure. Keep up the great work that you seem to have excellent potential for producing in the future, as best as you can, I hope. Lord willing, of course, that is, you know. CD out.

Fine work on Atlanta Metros, Denver Alpine, Brooklyn Imperials, Midland Red Eagles, Bakersfield Clash, Athens Express and Southhaven Bulls.

Really love the background designs on the Metros with the city skyline... really like the mountains on the Alpine... I like where you made it green for summer and white for winter... you made it work year round... most of the time designers just make it for either summer or just winter... yours is the best of both worlds.

Keep us the good work... really enjoy looking at your creative designs.

I like the Bulls on the Bakersfield Clash... very nice design and very good description of the nickname Clash..

So I'm using GIMP mostly since I had some prior experience with Photoshop. GIMP is a free program that models Photoshop and is very useful once you get the hang of it. I started off just doing little things, changing colors or the city on an existing logo that I liked.

If I was to start now I'd start with Inkscape and learn that. Another free program but this one models Adobe Illustrator. It is actually better for logo creation since it works in vectors which are scalable. Right now I'm trying to create at least one logo in Inkscape everyday, but that said I'm 100 times more comfortable in GIMP for better or worse. There are some videos out there that give you a quick course in vector vs. raster graphics. That being said, GIMP/Photoshop are fine and have their strengths too.

I've done some LinkedIn Learning courses on both Inkscape and GIMP which helped unlock a lot of the tools I didn't know how to even experiment with. Just finding videos on YouTube is helpful too. Problem solving something you are trying to do (like, I want this text to do this...) is a great way to pick up some skills.

Templates have been really beneficial for me. I've created about 20 so far of various shapes and styles that are now my starting points when I create. I can get stuck in a rut sometimes and do too many of a certain shape, so I try really hard to break out of that when I notice I'm doing it. I'm all about setting up my templates to save me having to do the same initial steps every time I create. I'm glad to share my files or talk more about this if you (or anyone else) is interested.

My final thing is to just do it a lot. Last year I built a 200 team OOTP league using Justafan's logo creator. That helped me to get comfortable with creating for the game and pushing me to try things out. This is the first year I'm designing my own stuff from scratch with the help of some clipart. I'm building a 435 team league that I'll use in OOTP, Football Manager, and at least some in a FHM save I'm evolving right now. Make good stuff, make awful stuff, remake the awful stuff, try different styles, download other people's stuff and try to recreate versions of it, and have fun with it.

Anyways, not sure if you wanted all of that but I have been wanting to share a bit of my journey in case it was helpful to other people who are learning or wanting to learn.

Thanks for your graphics journey... you have gained some valuable knowledge... thanks for comparing the various software... that is very helpful to me.

I would love to learn Gimp or Inkscape, but have tried to learn it on-line, but the videos are too much for me to follow... I have a tough time with computer technology... the videos assume you already have the basic knowledge... and that is exactly what I want -- just the basic knowledge.

So far all of the graphics software is overwhelming to me and I give up on them... I use justafan's great software, but I only create borderline average and basic work... not good enough for me, so I have to depend on the good graphics designers for my fictional leagues... in the last year or two, very few people will do personal requests, so I now just check for already-creative teams and use them for my fictional leagues... but this means I have to use their team names, nicknames and their colors... this is not bad, actually, I end up with some standout logos, jerseys and caps, but just can't use my own creativity, designs and colors.
