Regular Pack Wildness

2 nights ago I realized you could have 3 perfect teams, so I started my other 2. I bought as many single packs as I could afford after 1 night, and hit a Negro League Stars Leon Day. I sold him for 26,000 PP. I was tempted to buy a Diamond pack or a historical pack with the PP, but decided to stick with the regular packs. On the 4th pack, I got a Historical Legend 100 Ed Delahanty. His average sale is 200,000 PP. I have to sell him, right? Do I just sell him and but as many packs as I can. Do I just build a core of a diamond team? Do I just quit now as I have peaked?

Seems about right as another noob hits the jackpot. Only been waiting three years for a pull like that. Still holding out hope that by PT25 I will hit a big time card. Just sell it and buy more packs you will probably get more miracle cards

I personally would keep the card and know that there's one position I'll not have to worry about for the next 42 weeks.

Just from personal experience, I strongly discourage flipping this card into 200 packs. I've opened 100+ packs from miracle pulls like this, twice in PT20 and once in PT21. One of those three times I got a satisfying return. The other two times I kicked myself for what I'd done. I also found it to be not that fun.

If you sell this card, hit the AH. Just looking right now, you can get something like a Peak Miguel Cabrera, 1941 Ted Williams, and Live Mookie Betts for 200K. That's not bad.

I can't tell what level you are at, but sell him and build a team from the auction house. 200,000 would get you at least 3 superstars if not more in the auction house.

More packs would just means that you hope to get the same superstar you sold in 200 packs, which the odds are against you to have a similar pull.

I think chancing it with the packs is a poor decision, I did get a Jo Adell diamond this morning in one of the 2 standard packs I opened, so I'm on a hot streak, but that could end anytime. I should build more of a team for sure than chance it time and time again.

If it were me, I'd keep him. I'm a hoarder though... although, I may look to flip him and acquire a comparable player I have attachment to as far as legends go. Also, if I'm building my team around a cornerstone card, I'd rather go Cf or ss.

But this card will lock up a position for the rest of the game

I think generally, liquid PP assets are much more valuable than the cost of a pack of cards. Cards are a casino. Freeplays are very nice. Its a great way to go broke.

I am just in the entry pool. I have just been buying packs for the fun of it, got this card, plus 2 other diamonds, and a good jump start on some of the live team missions. I think to sell the card, buy a few superstars and complete a few missions would be a smart first step to build a decent team.

You're on a good streak! Pretty darn good for a new player!!!

(Don't get used to it.)

Great deal man!

I haven't heard anyone called a "noob" since Call of Duty days

Best I have pulled is the live Chris Sale (meh) but on the flip side I have pulled a Les Bell and a Dick Redding that have scored me about 60K PP flipping them recently.

NICE!

I pulled that same card this year and was super happy.

Well, popping 200 packs may be a money-losing proposition, but it will net you (at least) a gold-capable team and insanely deep bench.

But gamblers get twitchy waiting for their next fix.

Personally, I'd happily trade a gold-capable team for one Ed.
