Sigh. Game still doesn't recognize combined no-hitters.

Is it really that difficult? (slightly annoyed tone)

IF team hits = 0
THEN spawn news article #2748

That's the pig latin version of coding, but how much harder than this can it be? Come on, boys, after 20 versions.....

Btw, Yamamoto walked five of the first six batters in the second, and another run scored on a groundout.

What a pathetic no hitter. I'd never want that one in the record books under my name.

Why does this box score make me so angry!?

Walking a run in is pathetic by itself. But two runs by walk?

I guess Yama was just having a bad day.

I agree with the first post much more than the second one.

ALL no-hitters are combined since the team's pitcher(s) and other defensive players combine to hold the other team to no hits.

I don't see what the big deal is about if a no-hitter takes 9 players (1 pitcher and 8 other fielders) or 15 players (say, 3 pitchers and 12 other defensive players). No hits is no hits.

Low quality no-hitters ought to be recorded so that we can look back on them and roll our eyes in disbelief (or, since it's the Marlins, in weary belief).
