This is great! When i realized this was a whole new bracket, i immediately went to the bracket to see with whom my favorite teams were matched up. It took me an embarrassing number times to say "Aww, that's a tough matchup" before i finally came to my senses.

Bummed that post-WWII is the cutoff, but excited for this nonetheless!

Great job + awesome exposure! !!!

Quick qustion, are the teams created using the neutralized database, or how are the differences in eras accounted for?

This is great, but would it kill them to at least include a link the the games store page? And also a link to the Steam page?
I mean, they mention they will be using OOTP but never bother to have an easy way for those who follow along to actually go look at the simulation being used.

What is this Dream Bracket stuff and why do you keep posting links for it in this forum? I looked at the link, but I really don't understand what it is all about.

It would be helpful if someone could explain what the purpose of the Dream Bracket and why it is on the OOTP forum.

Chomps, The Dream Bracket is an OOTP simulation featuring the greatest players from each franchise (that was the first one) or some of the greatest single-season post-WWII teams from each franchise (the second one, as described in the link you looked at). It is on the OOTP forum because the simulations are played using OOTP 21.

Just out of curiosity, what criteria was used to seed the initial bracket?

It was all done by MLB and the beat writers; I'm not entirely sure.

The 2012 Giants, and not the much better '62, '93, or 2000 clubs?

Yikes!

Did anyone else fill out their bracket winners at MLB.com?

So far my Final Four all advanced:

'54 Indians
'98 Yankees
'57 Braves
'86 Mets

The first three teams I picked based upon simulations that I've done with OOTP '20 and '21.
The '86 Mets I picked with my heart -- I've had mixed success in simulations that I've done with them.

I picked the '86 Mets and the 2004 Red Sox. I believe those two are still in it.
My other picks were the 1972 A's and the 1969 Mets. I think they're gone.

The '86 Mets turned out to be a good choice. I wonder whether anybody expected the 2001 Mariners to face them in the finals.

I picked the 01 Mariners to round of 8 and had them losing to 98 Yankees who got bounced early suprisingly.
