OOTP Hated Freddie Freeman

This is just funny. In version 20 I always found that 29 year old Freddie's career went in the tank. This is holding true in 21. Through 7/15 Freddy has 6 home runs and is slugging .385. Might be his worst season since tee ball but he probably eclipsed that then. Only 1 Brave has double digit homers at this point in the season. Acuna has 12. Riley has 8. Freddie os third with his 6. Braves are rock bottom in the East and last in HR and Runs Scored in MLB. Sporting 3 of the best hitters in baseball, all coming off Silver Slugger seasons the team can't score.

I simmed into 2040, untouched, just to see what would happen.

He ended up with almost 600 HRs, 2000+ RBI, 3200 Hits. He played it all with Braves except for his last season he signed with the Blue Jays. Retired at age 40.

Of note, Acuna became the all time HR King. Albies also had a HOF career.

That's interesting and brings up a thread down the list a ways..playing out v simming. I play all my games out. Offensive production is non existent. It is difficult to get the data to compare a 20 year sim and a 20 year play through. Guys are always saying the results are skewed towards simming and always told it isn't true. My experiences tell me it is different.

That's a real Blue Jays-type move. They probably overpaid him too.
