What does the amount of posts a person makes here have to do with their ability to run a league?

I've been around since OOTP2 and only have a little over 300 posts here.

I've played Links Golf since 1995 and have less than 25 posts at Links Corner, one of the most popular Links sites on the web. Much like this website, it is a huge gathering spot for the majority of players.

Never judge a book by its cover. You'll wind up depriving yourself of some valuable experience in life.

My bad, I didn't know you played Links Golf! Best of luck with your new league.

True, amount of posts has nothing to do with one's ability to run a league but it could serve as an important piece of information on whether or not one wants to join an online league.
With the large number of leagues that go belly up within one season, many can be traced back to unreliable commissioners.
A person who is starting a league with one post is often either someone who created a new screen name in order to hide his past or someone very new to the community and green at running online leagues. Neither situation is a promising one for the OOTP newbie looking to join a league. How often have you seen someone post "looking to join a stable league; my first X number of leagues failed to make it off the ground"?

I am sure there are exceptions to this generality and this league might be one of them.

I agree with you 100%, especially the part about it could serve as an important piece of information, not necessarily does.

I guess I'm just old school. I believe in giving everyone a fair chance up front and won't judge them without knowing them, at least a little.

Remember, we were all newbies at one point in time.

Most of all, I just thought it a bit rude to throw that assumption in someones face without knowing anything about them.

Or, they could be the former Commish of a long running well run FPS or DMB league, who has recently discovered OOTP. Having a small post count in this forum doesn't necessarily make you a online league schmuck. I'd go as far to say that there are some great OOTP commishes out there who rarely, if ever, post on these boards. I know at least 2 such people.
