Doing better than I thought, so far.
Won the Wild Card game in Rookie ball, and the team who finished in first of our division, and I think swept us in the playoffs, is in 4th place of the division. I am in first by 3.5 games. I can't explain this.

15-30 worst in Sigma Rho A league. Struggling in all areas. More than half my team in negative WAR. Made 4-5 changes when I got home from work and changed my team strategy because apparently no one can steal a base to save their life.

Sadly my starting pitchers have an ERA higher than yours. I've embraced the offense first mentality though.

Well, obviously! Nothing would give me further pleasure. I've toyed with the idea of renaming my team after some historical enemies of the Cossack people. Ottomans? Russians? The Polish?

I have the edge at the moment (31-15 vs. 28-17), but it's early days. You'll bounce back!

Only bronze achievements on my side so far - though I had the advantage of a Hi Def Inning last season, so I can't complain.

I've been playing the auction house in addition to opening packs. Your pitching beats mine despite my best efforts to acquire starters from the auction house; I never seem to bid high enough. I can get batters, and even Gold-level relievers (like my current closer), but starters remain expensive. Somehow I had a lot more luck with my batting - both Mookie and Lindor were pulled from packs.

If we have a big series against each other scheduled towards the end of this week (or even postseason sunday) we should meet up on the OOTP Discord!

It merely means they have pitched not enough innings (they must pitch one inning per game played by the team to qualify for the ERA race) and it also seems they have fewer decisions than Marquez; I guess you swapped them around some?

Then I realize he is an outfielder and I am crowded with two gold outfielders already.

Then I realize there is a DH.

I begrudgingly accept the platinum card thus, while bleeding from the mouth.

Actually they have been set since the beginning of the season. They are probably getting pulled early because they are performing so badly.

I did follow up my 9-16 April with a 16-13 May. I was actually doing much better than that and even won a series against a stacked team. But I ran into the division leader near the end of the month and was swept in a 4 game series. It is a team with 2 diamond and 3 gold pitchers and a lineup with a diamond, 6 gold and 2 silver hitters.

I still only have my single starter gold. It is obvious that starting pitching needs to be my next focus, although I maintain that based on ratings my guys should perform better than they are.

After going 18-2 during a 20 game stretch with no off day, my team finally got a day off then lost 4 series to finish May. Maddox's team gave me a new appreciation for Scott Oberg who appears to be tearing it up with lousy peripherals. (That's not a complaint it actually makes a lot of sense.)

Which team is yours? There was one team I remember being very surprised that I was able to take 2 out of 3 games from but I am not at my PC and don't remember the name of the team.

Sorry. Yeah, I think that was the team that I was shocked I was able to win the series from. Your team's lineup and pitching was scary looking when compared to mine.
