Easy question: Where do I set this?
This is actually a two-parter. First one is easy: where do I go to tell my minor league managers to set their lineups based on Potential ratings so my better prospects get the playing time? I know how to go into each individual player and Force Start them, but I know there is a global setting someplace and I can't find it - and I swear I've been through every menu in the game as well as looked in the online manual. I'm sure I'm just missing it...
The second part of this is, the reason I need to find this setting is that even though I'm pretty sure I have it set to base lineups on Potential, I'm noticing some odd lineup decisions in the minors. I have a decent prospect in Double A, he's in the lineup against LH but not against RH in favor of a 33-year old player I signed to fill out the roster. His overall potential is less, but I'm wondering if his potential against RH is higher and therefore he starts? |

Setting is in League Setup, Stats & AI tab. You have to select to appropriate minor league from the drop down top right.

With top prospects I also force start them. Takes longer but it's more exact. Plus I can get multiple positions learned.
I usually draft best player available too so I can get clogged up at certain positions. I remember being heavy on 2b's they could play SS and 3rd and 1st but not as good as 2nd. And if there are like 3 of them at same level they might not all start left up to the AI. Especially when they haven't started to learn a defense position yet. Sometimes they can even play outfield. So yea I lock everyone and force start them. Then monitor all year. It just takes so much time. I would manually control all minors if that didn't even take longer because of injuries. So many injuries |
