MLB Quick start Realignment Question

If I want to use the normal quick start but only have four levels of minor leagues, which leagues should I delete to ensure every team has 4 minor league teams? I ask because even team isn't represented in every league, and someone here might know this answer quicker than I can figure it out.

Not at home right now so not 100% sure, but I think what I've done in the past is delete everything below the South Atlantic League and Midwest League. Now, I know that those are Low A teams, but I switch them to Rookie league teams so that leaves 4 total levels. It's the easiest way, I think.

I do this on every MLB league I play. I reduce the minors to 3 levels though. AAA,AA,A. I also contract teams as well.

First thing I do is go into every teams minors and move all the players from the bottom levels to the top 3. That makes it easy to delete the low levels easier.

You will then have to manually check and see if each team has only 1 team per level. Not much you can do here except go one by one.

I would recommend do a few additional items as well.

1. Clean up your free agency pool for personnel. You will have increased the number by a lot after the leagues are deleted. The bad thing here is that you either have to delete them all or one by one. I usually do one by one but it takes forever.

2. Clean up each teams minor leagues. Run automanage on them first. Then put some rules to reduce the size. Maybe no one over the age of 25 in your minors. Then you can release everyone over that age.

3. If you do number 2 then you will have a lot of free agents. I would recommend cleaning that as well. Some examples would be if someone is betwen the age of 25-40 and has never played in the MLB, then delete them.

I do all this because I want a slimmer league to run.

Great advice here.

How many rounds is your amateur draft?
