Minute Maid Roof

Will HOU have a closed roof option in ‘19? It is closed way more often than open IRL.

I seem to recall there is a option on the game screen just before you begin your game IF you play them out for that option

This may be me missing something, but I do not see an option in the Park page (off of them finances) or on the page where you start a game.

I had decided to check the park in a game by advancing to that date and I found I couldn't determine if I could open or close the dome. So I guess we cant do that . oh well no big deal.

I seem to remember that when playing out games in OOTP 18, occasionally at the start of a game when bad weather was happening, the play-by-play at the very start of the game would announce that the roof was closed (for a stadium with optional cover). I did not use 3D ballparks much in 18, so I don't know whether the roof for a particular stadium was sometimes open and sometimes closed depending on these conditions.

Don't have the game open to check but couldn't you just edit Houston's park to have a non-retractable roof? The option must be there as we have parks like the old Metrodome in Minneapolis and of course the Astrodome in older builds of OOTP and still available for historical play via mods.

Of course that would be 100% closed but that sound like what the OP wants.

I tried making it a dome rather than retractable, in the stadium setup, bit the 3D was still an open stadium. Great MMP image, just an an open stadium, though.

I wonder if someone could edit the current 3d file and make a closed option? Id love to see the same thing with Miller.

Nothing I can do. Besides. You would need to switch between two stadium models and that fuctionality is not available as of now

Not to be that guy, but if you're playing in Commissioner Mode, you can set which ballpark is used before each game. Also, the game states whether the roof is open or closed on that same screen. So I believe the functionality is there (switching between stadium models), but the two stadium models themselves are not.
