"Uh oh. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays."

Normally I am not a fan of Mondays. To quote The Boomtown Rats or Garfield, "I don't like Mondays". Yet tomorrow, a Monday, is the one day that I am looking forward to and have been looking forward to for quite some time. It's not just another Monday or just another Manic Monday. A "Magic Monday"? Perhaps. Nevertheless, a day in which many of us who pre-ordered the game will be feverishly anticipating the email from OOTP to download the game. And for those of us who are getting the game on Thursday which will be here before we know it, we'll be feverishly looking forward to reading the feedback of those playing the game tomorrow through Thursday morning.

Every year, Opening Day in MLB is a glorious time, one of my favorite days of the year. It's a clean slate. A chance for every team and every fan to start fresh and begin the year with optimism, even in cities like Detroit and Miami. Because it's about baseball. The greatest game in the world. A new season begins just as a new season begins with the arrival of spring. Ice melts, temperatures warm, days get longer and Leon gets larger. Wait, what? No, seriously, this is the one day in which every team gets a chance to start off fresh and every OOTP player gets to pick and choose which team to manage or GM. Whether it's a current team, a team from the past, an international team or a fictional one, we get to choose. We can either ride the bus as a minor league skipper or we can fly first-class as a major league manager and/or GM.

Tomorrow is Monday, but I'm going to call it "Fun Day" because the fun begins in less than 24 hours. I'm looking forward to having fun tomorrow and sharing in that fun with each and everyone of you, my OOTP friends from around the world. I'm going to be breaking out one of my baseball caps of the team I choose to manage/GM tomorrow and wear it every time I play the game. What are you going to do tomorrow when you get OOTP or on Thursday?

this is my first attempt at playing OOTP and i pre-ordered the game since I've heard so much about it. I'm also a new baseball fan (only started watching last season)...so here's hoping i don't get too overwhelmed haha

I preordered as I did a year ago, and I plan to not do a damn thing EXCEPT play OOTP19. It's like Christmas in March!

just take your time with the game.
