Lost In-Game Sound

I was managing in-game, and seemed to lose all of the in-game sounds (except for ambient crowd noise) out of nowhere. I do have ambient crowd noise, but there's no crack of the bat, no safe/out/strike 3 umpire calls, no cheering/booing, no background organ music, etc. Game sound is enabled under Viewing Options, but are there any other options that might have accidentally been changed that are preventing these game sounds from playing?

Same thing just happened to me on my 3rd game. Submitted a Steam refund and will await a few patches before purchasing again. There appears to be no fix for this bug right now.

This isn't a bug or an options thing and it's nothing that patches will resolve, because it's not something we can fix. It's a system issue.

If this happens, update your OS. That should fix the problem and get the sound working again.

If that doesn't work, post here or send me a message, but it should do the trick.

I had this same problem yesterday and once about 12 months ago. My OS is completely up to date. I solved it by just restarting the computer.
