For defensive substitutions, it would be great to be able to specify that a player should be moved to a different position, and then another player subbed in at the old position.

I.e., for offense, I move my best defensive RF to LF in the starting lineup. My best defensive player on the bench plays LF.

i.e.:
player A: best offensive RF, not a great defender
player B: best two-way player at RF, moves to LF to get player A into the lineup
player C: best defender in LF on the team, by far

What I want to do for a defensive substitution is remove player A, put player B back into his more natural RF, and bring player C in to play LF.

So this custom substitution system would basically be exactly that series of logic. Instead of a single "defensive sub" column on the lineups page, we would have a "defensive substitutions" page that allows you to string together substitutions as mentioned above.

Another, simpler option, would be to have a check box somewhere that allows the manager to re-align the defense after the sub is made. That way, I can bring player C in for player A directly, and the manager will re-align the defense to put them in the best position.
