Team page colours

In 16 and 17, I have tried as much as possible to set the team colours properly through the Team Settings page. For some reason, all the Pro and Affiliated league teams (AAA, AA, A, R) I can set up the colours without a problem. But for the College league, HS league and an indy league that I setup a couple seasons back, whenever I setup the colours in the Team Settings screen, they never stick. It's really annoying setting up team colours for over 60 teams only to save everything close the game and reopen it the next day and see that none of the changes took effect, even after saving the game after changing each team.

Example...I have Alabama Crimson Tide in my College league...it's really annoying to have the team colours show up as purple and yellow when they should be crimson and white. See picture below.

Any ideas why this won't stick? Any tricks?

This option at the top of the Team Colors, Logos, and Uniforms window should prevent that from happening. Is it set when you leave this screen and when you return to each team?

Both boxes are checked for all my teams. I always make sure that they are when I set the team logos.

I've never come across this problem before, but just a thought - do your logos have the color codes included in their names (ie. Alabama_Crimson_Tide_123456_abcdef)?

That may force OOTP to use the desired colors.

I've had this problem before... I'll have to look and see how I fixed it though.

EDIT: Took a look... Can't figure out what caused it for me before. As long as you have that box checked, you should theoretically be good to go.

Some of the logos have the colour codes in the name file, but some don't. This seems irrelevant to the problem I am seeing right now since, like I said in my initial post, all teams in ML, AAA, AA, A, R show the correct colours that I set up manually...but the College, High School and indy league do not keep their colours no matter what I do.

As for checking the boxes, that only applies for the logos in order to stop OOTP from changing the logos to the generic ones. Does nothing for the colours.

Actually....I think the way to fix this problem is to use color codes in the file name. I have come across this bug when creating feeder leagues. Clearly it has not been fixed.

I swear to goodness, what in the heck did we ever do before the Internet?

This may help:
OS - Table Generators - Team Colors

So, as reds1 and the Colonel recommend, your Alabama Crimson Tide logo would have color codes appended to its file name (alabama_crimson_tide_A80532_FFFFFF.png), as I have done below, and thereby your issue would hopefully be resolved once and for all.

I'll get that on occasion when i add a new team or a new logo. if it does not have the color code on it, you can edit the colors. Exiting and re-entering the game tends to fix it.

Bumping with a related question... I am continually checking "lock logos" only to discover after simming a while that the box is unchecked again. This is in a fictional major league. I'm getting tired of checking the box, and really really hope there can be a SINGLE functional checkbox next year to stop the game from reloading logos in this way.

Has anyone noticed this auto-unchecking of the lock logo box?
