Eliminate RPs?

Im trying to eliminate relievers from the game. Using 3 man roatations with Very Highset for stamina. Normal modifers. I set up 16 postion players and 3 starters for league settings. My goal is for 3 starters with one backup pitcher(another SP hopefully). The backup will basically pitch 2-3 innings for the other 3 when they are pulled. Putting up similar numbers.
If i set league settings this is what happens.
0 relievers-half the teams use the last roster spot for a pitcher, half being RPs half being SPs. Others dont even stock a backup.
1 reliever-use most RPs sometimes a starter.

Anyway to have the game eliminate even making RPs? I could up their stamina mods to like 4.0 But they wont be the "future starters". I just want 4 SPs on the roster with 3 man rotations.

Any advice?

Theoretically, relievers shouldn't be created in fictional leagues prior to 1920 or so, but I've never seen this work in practice. The only way that you can eliminate relievers from the rookie pool is to create rookies on your own rather than let the game create them. But even if you create only starters, the game will convert any pitcher not in the rotation into a reliever. For instance, if the "Typical Starting Rotation Size" in the Stats & AI section of Game Settings is set to "3," then the game will convert any pitcher in excess of three into a reliever. Nevertheless, those converted relievers should still have ratings like a starter (higher stamina, more pitches, etc.), it's just that they'll be called relievers and the AI won't start them unless you have "Allow Starters in Relief" checked to "yes."

Im fine with them being called relievers when in that 4th spot. Just want the 3 plus pitches

If that's the case, you can set the position of any player to whatever you want from the player edit screen. If a pitcher doesn't have three plus pitches, you can also add ratings for whatever pitch you wish from that same screen.

Let me know if you need help doing any of that. I recommend being in Commissioner mode whenever editing or modifying players.

Was just hoping there was a way that would automatically do it. Probably just have to deal with 2 pitch guys in that slot. Wish you could tell the AI to carry an extra starter
