no offense, but you must be blind. look at that screenshot and go back and watch the pawns in the twitch video. in the screenshot it acutally looks like they have 2 different colours for each model, pants and jersey..whereas in the twitch one its just full same colour. also, in this screenshot it kinda looks like they have legs?....sad that you are happy about "kinda" seeing legs in player models...tells you a lot about this game. kekeke.

If you watched the stream you would've realized that the video they showed was 3 versions ago

My apologies for not being clearer. I meant the pawns in the Gold build look just like the ones in the screenshot.

Changing the subject here, but take a close look at the photo displayed in post #79. I see something very small that has me very excited.....Do you see it? Look under broadcast. YES, the date of the game is back. So glad to see this.

I've heard that before.

So we are calling them pawns? This may get confusing for me since one of the teams in my fictional league are the Portland Pawns.

Wonder how it looks when the little pawns rob a homerun.

I'm no Fanboy... In fact, if you look, I've been a member here since what? 2012...and I've only got a few posts.

You want to cry about the graphics? Anyone whining about this go over to DK Sports or DMB and check out the cost of one season and then add it up to what you get with OOTP17.... Please, do it.

You'll quickly see that you would pay well in excess of $40...so quit your whining!

...and I just finished a game and its awesome.....49 Dodgers take it in ten with 8 runs in the top of the tenth over the 48 Braves......

What could be truer to the ownership experience than regarding your players as interchangeable and entirely dispensable cogs.

Well done I say!

I had no intention of using this feature, but I tried it out just for the heck of it...it's unbelievable. It looks fantastic.

I prefer to call them pawns. It's better than meeples.

I'm probably to blame for calling them pawns. I started out calling them meeples during beta but they don't look like meeples.

So, I changed to pawns and I think that kinda stuck. I think it works, though.

So, you actually received your download link?

There's hope yet.

Nope. Still waiting. However, after reading about the memory leak, maybe I'm better off waiting until Monday to play anyway. The PC I'm currently using is older than Shecky Greene's stand up routine.

+1 for the Shecky Greene reference.

The memory leak isn't a major issue. I've had my laptop sim for 10+ hours overnight with no crash and no discernible problems.

To be fair, Markus called them pawns when he first proposed it (although not sure he remembered the English for pawns, so I think he called them chess pieces)
