So it's going to be a month before everything that was broke in this patch gets fixed?

wow, not good. looks like the prudent move is to hold off on updating until then.

I had a huge problem in the new patch. When I tried to make a double switch the game would not let me rub in a pitcher forcing the left fielder I wanted to take out of the game to pitch. I could only take him out after he pitched to a batter. Never had this problem with the game before but that bug obviously makes the game unplayable.

I understand this but if we all held off, then we would not know what to tweak.

Matt, Markus, you guys should know not to introduce new stuff in a patch announced as "final." It never works out! By all means, bring on the new stuff but realize that there will likely be one more mundane "maintenance" patch. With no more new stuff!

Not as satisfying as a game version gate-closer, for sure, but that's always the way it happens.

FWIW I've made many double switches with the new patch without any issue. Maybe something in the order you made your moves?

The game is finicky about how you handle changing the 9 hole to a position spot and it can be easy to make a mistake if you're not careful.

I don't know if this was already mentioned because I didn't read the entire thread, but a big problem that still has not been fixed is teams releasing their best players in the middle of the season for no apparent reason.

In my league a team released a superstar player having a great season after he came off of the DL. I had to go into Comish mode, put him back on his team, edit the history so his being released never happened, give him a contract, and make him eligible for the playoff roster.

To say this bit of roster AI needs tweaking is an understatement.

Thanks for the response but it wasn't a mistake on my part and our happened more than once. I would make the appropriate change but it wouldn't let me insert the pitcher from the bullpen. I'd drag the pitcher like any pitching change but it wouldn't let me put him in. I didn't get the pop up that asked if I really wanted to bring the pitcher in the game.

Markus did say in the initial post there would be a maintenance patch, so it was always expected to have another patch after this one. We initially did not expect that until August sometime, but will push obviously push it forward a little since there were a couple of items that did get broken in the patch.

Well the great OOTP support is taking a kick in the butt with this last patch not being patched for a long time. Oh well, it was bound to happen at some point I guess.

I am thinking we keep forgetting its a game that's made by HUMANs for humans and mistakes are bound to happen. The best thing about it is they correct them mistakes and limit them as best as possible. NOBODY in the gamming industry can match what OOTP in how they handle things.

Sry guys I seen a few posts here and there today. Just wasn't happy with what they said.

My guess is you haven't installed the patch. The fact is they get it right most of the time (which is why many of us installed the patch) this patch is not that time however. Nobody has flamed or really said anything bad about anything. But a patch that breaks things and possibly wont be fixed until the end of the month is a bit frustrating don't you think? Anyway sorry you're not happy.

I guess i have not played enough of OOTP since the patch because in about 20 games in my EBL league and simming one season in my Top 25 league I have yet to see any issues, not that I noticed anything odd or was looking for issues. I have a DH in both these leagues so double switching isn't an option. Can someone make a quick list of bugs since the new patch?
