Markus,
We need a toggleable (ON/OFF), salary cap whose cap can be changed for the league's purposes. It wouldnt let a team sign someone that would put them over the cap. This human vs CPU league that myself, Andy Watkins, and Dan Nichol have started has made me realize this as we have to watch the CPU teams' finances to keep them under the cap. This would also be useful to Commish's who have salary caps and have to constantly watch the payroll of the teams in their league. [ December 21, 2001: Message edited by: Cooleyvol ]</p> |

Additionally for those of us who like to play with ourselves....
errrr I mean run solo leagues, it would give us another option on how we'd run our baseball universe. It would definitely be something that people who would say want to recreate baseball's future with the owners somehow defeating the Players Union and getting a salary cap enforced could see how baseball history might be altered.Definitely would be a great addition to the game. |

These are some excellent suggestions - an adjustable & toggleable (ON/OFF) salary cap would be a great help to both online and solo players.

This would be especially useful durng the initial draft of a new solo league. It seems to me one of the worst things the computer AI does is select high priced talent and stick it in the minors. A cap woudl be part of the solution ot this problem,
